Event Management System Software History

Introduction

This document offers a general summary of the Event Management System (EMS) software, comprising the EMS SERVER and EMS CLIENT, together with all changes and expanded functions undertaken to date.

Further information on the Event Management System can be found in the documentation available at the HeiTel Digital Video GmbH internet site, www.heitel.com.

Overview of key innovations in the Event Management System

All the following changes and expanded functions are related mostly to the Event Management System software. For detailed information with specific regard to the CamControl SERVER and CamControl CLIENT modules, please refer to the relevant history information of the comparable software suites CamControl PRO and CamControl LITE (sh_cc_pro_gb.pdf, sh_cc_lite_gb.pdf).

Special hint: for update processes please refer to the EMS update guide. Contact the HeiTel team in order to receive a corresponding EMS update file.

New graphical user interface (GUI) of EMS EventCLIENT

Hint: the new graphical user interface is optionally available. The previous EventCLIENT is still be available. The following new functions can only be used with the new EventCLIENT (EventCLIENTng.exe):

o Private CamControl Muli-View (MV):

 Specific CamControl MV profiles (layouts) can be created with the CamControl MV Editor. During an event handling these profiles can be opened via the event handling window. Each loaded profile can be modified and added with up to 64 cameras from different HeiTel VideoGateways. The CamControl MV profile remains decoupled from the current event processing and will be closed manually (optional) or by loading a different profile.  Profiles can be assigned individually to each transmitter

 Layouts can be changed between different “camera window groups”

 Advanced features such as Virtual Monitor, motion events, scheduler, an operator management or connections to FastTrace/iFT devices are currently not supported

o Individual positioning of the EMS modules Event Window, HThealth Check, Search/Dial in dialogue, History module or Private MV

o Full text search in Dial in dialogue

o Grouping of events by Date, Event ID, Transmitter (Serial No.), Priority, location or customer

 No-go area: The transmitter should not enter this area  No-leave area: The transmitter should not leave this area  Arrival area: This is the area the transmitter should reach

o New GPS cause IDs (Health Check events) are considered as “Service Events”

o Assigned “no-go”, “no-leave” and “arrival” areas of a specific transmitter can be displayed in a live map

 HThealth Check events (speed, temperature) and Geo-fence events will be replaced and grouped as sub events when the counterpart of the corresponding event occurs

 PIR High Level Integration

o Integration of ADPRO PIR (passive infrared detectors) via the Sub-D serial interface of HeiTel VideoGateways. Note: A corresponding RS485 to RS232 converter is needed

o Detection, configuration and PIR state for up to 20 PIR detectors for each VideoGateway
