SIGNS, PLANETS & CAREER

Traditional astrology emphasized the Midheaven's sign and planets appearing in the tenth house as career significators. We shall consider far more than those two factors, but these traditional associations remain the basis for most of the conclusions drawn from even the most contemporary methods. Associations listed here appear in one or more of the following references:

In 1956, The Church of Light published its findings in s series of research studies conducted between 1924 and 1955. Edited by Doris Chase Doane, Astrology: Thirty Years Research outlined the methods used to determine the most active planets and houses in each category; thousands of timed births and events were collected, then analyzed according to the Church of Light's Hermetic system of chart measurement, then called stellar dynamics and now referred to as astrodynes or cosmodynes.

The report listed planets and houses with percentages indicating the fraction of each sampling (100 for each of the professions tested) were born with the planet "prominent" or the house "active". Astrology: Thirty Years Research was itself a condensed report, making the excerpts here an even more abbreviated listing. Here only those planets and houses prominent in 90% or more of the category's in horoscopes appear:
