Important Notes from the Office of the Registrar
DROPPING COURSES:
If you no longer plan on attending Baruch YOU are responsible for dropping all of your courses (SEE CUNYfirst for the directions). If you wish to drop one or more of your courses, YOU are responsible for dropping the course(s). YOU are responsible for initiating the official drop process. Failure to officially drop classes will result in assessed enrollment fees (i.e. tuition) for which you are financially responsible as well as failing grades on your college transcript.
WAITLISTS:
There are no instant updates to the waitlist when a seat becomes available in a course. When waitlists are processed and a seat is available, the next eligible student on the waitlist who has completed all prerequisites is automatically enrolled with no notification. Students need to continually check their CUNYfirst schedule to see if auto-enrollment in a waitlisted course has occurred.
Students need to remove their names from waitlists if they do not want a seat in the course. Students can remove themselves from waitlists using the standard “DROP”
enrollment feature. Since waitlists are processed until the end of the registration period, students may get a seat last minute and bear financial consequences.
Orientation Leaders: It’s Time to Register!
Follow the “How To Register” handout
Check your Enrollment Date in the CUNYfirst Student Center
If there is no date or the date is after today please alert your Orientation Leader
Do not forget to finish the enrollment process. Adding a course to your cart will not save you a seat.
