Making sense of the different mobile device management solutions can be tough. With such a variety of solutions, devices and

configurations it can be complex and daunting for any IT manager. Keeping your

organisation at the cutting edge of technology can be costly. Having the right solution makes it more manageable. It can save you time and money with the ease of managing your

devices across multiple business structures and multiple users. SBL has the ability to integrate key solutions with your existing IT infrastructure by working in partnership with

key vendors including:

What is Mobile Device Management?

Mobile Device Management (MDM) supports organisations with the distribution of applications, content, configuration settings and policies across multiple enterprises for different mobile devices, including smartphones, tablet computers, ruggedized mobile computers, etc. Mobile management has the added benefits of reducing time spent and resource costs on managing devices, while still ensuring a high level of security. Mobile device management offers a high level of

functionality to enable the management of devices from a centralised admin console, making the enrolment and setup of profiles simple and pain free.

What is Content Management?

Content management within a mobile environment is the collection, management, and publishing of information within an organisations infrastructure. Allowing workforces easy access to key information while on the move. Content Management provides administrators the ability to

manage content security, access rights and distribution. It gives organisations the ability to allow content generation within

organisational structures. It also addresses how the information is stored, either within the flexibility of the cloud or on premises solutions. Content Management within mobile devices enables secure access to

content using authentication and certificate based methods. All data and content sent by mobile devices can be encrypted in-transit and at-rest ensuring that data is secure and data loss prevented.

What is Application Management?

Application management is the process of managing the operation, deployment, maintenance, versioning and upgrading of an application throughout its lifecycle. Application Management provides an enterprise application catalog, enabling users to instantly view apps available to them, install apps, and be alerted to updates. Application management enables a secure console for managing and distributing apps to users on the move. Application

management has the ability to use app wrapper (App security), authenticate users before accessing apps, enable single

sign-on across your apps and ensure device compliance checks alerting of compliance violations. Application management gives IT managers the ability to automatically deliver and update policies remotely.

What is Choose Your Own Devices

(CYOD)?

Choose Your Own Device (CYOD) is an option to give an organisation more control of devices and allows the workforce to select from specified devices for business usage. It offers the benefits of Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) with the added

element of control. CYOD helps bridge the gap between unsecure employee owned devices and an organisation’s need to manage and secure devices. By using CYOD you can easily manage the

deployment of multiple device options with the right configurations ensuring that vital organisational information is easily

accessed but still secure.

What is Bring Your Own Device

(BYOD)?

Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) is the policy of permitting the workforce to bring personally owned mobile devices (laptops, tablets, and smart phones) to the

workplace and to use those devices to access vital organisation information and applications. Choosing the right BYOD solution is important to ensure key functions like policy enforcement and distributing profiles, apps and content.

What is Corporate Owned,

Personally Enabled (COPE)?

Corporate Owned, Personally Enabled (COPE) is a business strategy in which an organisation provides its workforce with mobile devices and allows them to use them as if they were personally-owned. COPE can work with an organisation's Mobile Device Management (MDM) initiatives and provide the organisation with power to protect the organisation's data, whilst giving the workforce flexability of work and personal devices.
