A message from Sherry!

Welcome to a summer of trying new things and spreading our wings! We will celebrate National Fried Chicken Day with a Chic- fil-A breakfast on Tuesday, July 6. On Monday, July 12, we will play a fun game of bunco! Join us for our first Luau on Saturday, July 24 from 4-7 p.m. We will have games, great food, entertainment, and fun with friends!

Let’s brush up our crafting skills and learn to knit or crochet. Come and learn how to play pickleball or chair volleyball with our resident “coaches.” Join us for fun and informative This and That Program’s in July and August. Don’t forget to join Shelly from Stay Well on August 16 at noon

for a POP Up Culinary.

COVID Restrictions Lifted in Ohio Effective June 2

Welcome back to the Springdale Community Center!

As most of you are aware, we have initiated the removal of the mask mandate and social distance requirements. Staff & patrons are no longer required to wear a mask as long as they are vaccinated per CDC guidelines. Guest of members may utilize all facilities and must check in at the front desk along with the member.

Non-Resident Senior Member & guest of member may purchase daily guest pass for $3.00 each.

Luau by the Pool

Saturday, July 24 4:00 - 7:00 p.m.

Put on your grass skirt, bathing suit and sunglasses for a late afternoon luau by the pool. We will have music, games, pool time, food and drinks. It’s time to get outside with your friends and party like rock stars!

Be sure to register on line, at the front desk or by calling 346-3910 no later than Thursday, July 22. Cost is $10.00 per person. Seniors

only please.

In the event of severe weather, the Luau will be cancelled and your account will be credited.

National Fried

Chicken Day

Tuesday, July 6 9:00 a.m.

Let’s celebrate National Fried Chicken Day with Chicken and Biscuits from Chic-fil-A! In addition, we will have a variety of sweet treats, coffee and juice.

Be sure to register on line, at the front desk or by calling 346-3910 no later than Monday, July 5. Cost is $4.00 per person.

Bunco

Monday, July 12 2:00 p.m.

Join us for a fun game of Bunco. If you can count up to 21, throw dice and shout “Bunco” you are a Bunco Player. If you are new to the game, come on over and the other players will guide you in this easy game. Let’s see if you can win a prize!

Enjoy an evening swim under the lights with music and $1.00 Sno-cones. All proceeds help support your local Sailfish Swim Team.

That’s right, concerts in the park is back! We will have high energetic live entertainment in our outdoor amphitheater behind the Springdale Community Center. Our local Springdale Youth Boosters will have food and cold beverages for sale.

Come on into the cool recreation Center and join friends for a root beer float with Ashley White from Aetna. We will explore the origins of root beer and have fun with Charlie Brown.

We are excited to have Jeanne Rolfes from the Cincinnati Historical Preservation Society to present memories. Step back in time to visit Fountain Square, the Carew Tower Complex, the Dixie Terminal Building, City Hall, Findlay Market and Union Terminal to name a few.

Beginner Pickleball

Mondays, 12:00 p.m. & Thursdays, 10:00 a.m. I’ve seen so many seniors playing pickleball but have been shy about learning. Maybe you have the same feeling as I do. Now is the time to overcome your hesitation and learn this fun sport. The pickleball players are hosting beginner lessons to introduce you to the sport. No need to sign up. Simply bring a paddle if you have one, or “borrow” one of ours.
