ENROLLING YOUR DEVICES

Duo's self-enrollment process makes it easy to register your phone and install the Duo Mobile application on your smartphone or tablet.

You will be prompted to enroll via email. 1. Welcome Screen

3 1. Choose Your Authenticator

We recommend using a smartphone if you have one.

2. Type Your Phone Number

Select your country and type your phone number. Use the number of your smartphone,

landline, or cell phone that you'll have with you when you're logging in. You can enter an

extension if you chose "Landline" in the previous step.

4 3. Choose Platform

Choose the operating system that your phone runs.

4. Install Duo Mobile

Duo Mobile is an application that runs on your phone and helps you authenticate. Without it

you'll still be able to log in using a phone call or text message, but we strongly recommends

that you use Duo Mobile to authenticate quickly and easily.

5 5. Activate Duo Mobile

Activating the application will link it to your account so you can use it for authentication.

On iPhone, Android, Windows Phone, and BlackBerry 10, activate Duo Mobile by scanning the

barcode with then built-in barcode scanner. Choose your platform for specific instructions:

The "Continue" button will be clickable after you scan the barcode.

Can't scan the barcode? Click the link and then follow the instructions.

Enrollment Complete!

INSTALL CISCO ANYCONNECT VPN CLIENT

From your computer browser go to http://www.sjhsyr.org/sjcloud

Click on the install client for your computer (Windows or Mac). Follow the onscreen install instructions.

Open the Cisco AnyConnect VPN client and type in vpn.sjhsyr.org. Click Connect.

Use the "Second Password" field to tell Duo

how you want to authenticate. Here's how:

CONNECTING TO A PC WITH MICROSOFT REMOTE DESKTOP

Once you have established a connection with AnyConnect, you can use Microsoft Remote Desktop to connect to a specific PC on the SJHHC network. If you are using a Mac, you can download a Mac version of Microsoft Remote Desktop from

1. Launch Microsoft Remote Desktop by clicking on the Windows Start Menu and typing in Remote Desktop. Select Remote Desktop Connection.

2. Once you lunch the Remote Desktop Connection link, you will get a prompt asking you for a computer name. Enter the PC name here that you wish to connect to.

DISCONNECTING THE ANYCONNECT CLIENT

When you have completed your work, please make sure to disconnect your AnyConnect session. Leaving your session connected will cause all internet and web browsing traffic to be filtered and or blocked by SJHHC web filtering appliances. It may also cause your internet connection to be slow until you

disconnect.

RECONNECTING VIA ANYCONNECT

1. Right click on the AnyConnect icon in the lower right hand corner of the screen and click “Open AnyConnect.” This will open the AnyConnect main menu.

MANAGING YOUR DEVICES

Device management allows you to easily edit and add new devices.

4. Click on SJ ID Manager

5. Click on the Duo Device Manager link 6. Login using your SJH network credentials

DEVICE MANAGEMENT PORTAL

After authenticating you'll see the device management portal. This is where you can edit your

existing devices or add a new one.

ENROLL ANOTHER DEVICE

Clicking Enroll another device will walk you through a few steps to get Duo Mobile installed and activate your new device.

ACTIVATE DUO MOBILE

After answering some questions about your device, you will receive a new QR code to scan which will complete the activation process.

CHANGE DEVICE NAME

Clicking Change Device Name will open up an interface to change the display name of your

phone.

14 REMOVE DEVICE

The device manager also lets you remove your devices. If you are unable to delete a device,

contact your administrator to have it removed.

Note: You may not remove your last device. If you wish to remove it, first add another, and

then delete the original.
