This certification program is offered to our clients
and partners in order to guide them through the
operation of Stormshield Network Security
pro-ducts.
The three certifying courses available cover the
large majority of features on our products and
allow trainees to set up an effective and legible
security policy and to operate our solutions under
optimal conditions.
Two other certifications are open to distributors
who wish to become Stormshield Network
Trai-ning Centers (SNTC).
CERTIFIED STORMSHIELD NETWORK
ADMINISTRATOR (CSNA)
The aim of this course is to present the range and the basic features of the Next Generation Firewall/UTM product.
Target audience
IT managers, network administrators and IT technicians.
Learning objectives
At the end of the course, trainees will be: • Able to set up the appliance in a network,
• Introduced to configuration in the most generic case figures,
• Able to set up an IPSec VPN with pre-shared key authen-tication.
CERTIFIED STORMSHIELD NETWORK
EXPERT (CSNE)
The aim of this course is to present the range and the ad-vanced features of the Next Generation Firewall/UTM pro-duct.
Target audience
IT managers, network administrators and IT technicians who have obtained the administrator certification.
The certification associated with this course is a require-ment to have access to the Stormshield Network Technical Assistance Center (TAC).
Learning objectives
At the end of the course, and after revising basic principles, trainees will be able to:
• Use the advanced features of the GUI,
• Accurately configure the intrusion prevention engine (ASQ),
• Set up a PKI and transparent authentication, • Set up a certificate-based IPSec VPN, • Create a high availability cluster.
CERTIFIED STORMSHIELD NETWORK
TROUBLESHOOTING & SUPPORT (CSNTS)
The aim of this course is to provide tools and methods for gathering information needed for the analysis and correc-tion of problems during produccorrec-tion using the CLI (command line interface).Target audience
IT managers, network administrators and IT technicians who have obtained the expert certification.
This course will allow the trainee to master diagnosis and analysis methods in the event unexpected incidents arise. It would also provide an accurate and clear overview of the pro-cesses and configuration files that have been implemented. The certification associated with this course is a require-ment for partners who wish to become Stormshield Network Support Centers (SNSC).
Learning objectives
At the end of the course, and after revising basic principles, trainees will be able to:
• Find out the organization of file systems as well as the daemons and processes on a Stormshield Network ap-pliance,
• Explore the configuration and diagnose anomalies based on the appliance’s logs,
• Analyze and diagnose a network and routing configu-ration,
• Make network captures of traffic and analyze them, • Analyze and diagnose network traffic processed by a
security policy,
• Configure and diagnose IPSec VPN policies.

CERTIFICATION COURSE
The recert’ kits contain:
• Courseware for the relevant certification in electronic format
• Two attempts at the relevant certification
In the event a candidate fails both attempts at obtaining certification in a recert’ kit, he will need to register for a full course in order to take the exam again.
Network security expert
Holders of expert certification for network security products from competitors of Stormshield Network Security are eligible for a CSNA recert’ kit. A copy of the valid certification must be submitted in order to access this course.
Certification
CSNA, CSNE and CSNTS certifications are valid for 3 years from the date on which the candidate successfully comple-ted the certification examination.
At the end of these 3 years, any partnership and support agreements that may be related to these certifications will be systematically reevaluated. It is therefore recommended that you anticipate a recertification after 2 years to be able to maintain these various advantages.
In order for certification to be maintained for 3 years, the holder of the certification undertakes to regularly sign up for and participate in webinars that the Stormshield Network training and support departments invite him to attend. ADMINISTRATOR INSTRUCTOR (CSNAI)
The aim of this exam is to confirm that the candidate has mastered the practical exercises in the CSNA course to the extent he is able to understand and correct errors that trai-nees may make during this course.Candidates who succeed in this exam would be able to conduct CSNA courses.
Target audience
Network administrators and IT technicians who have suc-ceeded in the administration and expert exams with a score exceeding 80%.
This exam is a requirement for partners who wish to become Stormshield Network Training Centers (SNTC).

EXPERT INSTRUCTOR (CSNEI)
The aim of this exam is to confirm that the candidate has mastered the practical exercises in the CSNE course to the extent he is able to understand and correct errors that trai-nees may make during this course.
Candidates who succeed in this exam would be able to conduct CSNE courses.

Network administrators and IT technicians who have suc-ceeded in both the CSNTS and CSNAI exams.
This exam is a requirement for partners who wish to become Stormshield Network Training Centers (SNTC).

CERTIFICATIONS
STORMSHIELD NETWORK SECURITY INSTRUCTOR CERTIFICATION COURSE
The CSNAI and CSNEI recert’ are specific exams conducted over half a day with Stormshield Network instructors. They cover the features that were not touched on during the CNAI and CNEI exams. As no courseware will be provided, parti-cipants must first familiarize themselves with the new fea-tures on Stormshield Network products before attending the training session.
CSNAI and CSNEI certifications are valid for 3 years from the date on which the candidate successfully completed the cer-tification examination.
