The global data centre industry is growing at an incredible rate. With ever increasing demands on satisfying end user needs, the role and importance of data centres across the globe is evolving. Billions of pounds are being spent to improve data centre infrastructure to continually meet the growing demands of businesses and their customers. The recent boom in tablets and smartphones has placed further demands on data centres and cloud services, and is responsible for a large proportion of recent growth.

As expected, specialised hosting and cloud vendors as well as colocation providors are likely to see the most growth over the coming two years, followed closely by managed service providers.
