Program Overview

ASCI's AMP 2015 is a world-class learning experience that is designed to accelerate the career growth trajectory of the participants. The program offers a unique opportunity to reflect on the major developments in the external business environment and their implications in the formulation of strategy. The program is designed to empower the participants with the management expertise and cross functional perspective to drive strategic change in an increasingly competitive environment. With the intensification of domestic and global competition, a process of strategic renewal has commenced across corporates. Accordingly AMP 2015 addresses this need to develop capabilities to contribute to the process of strategic renewal.

The program provides networking opportunities to a select group of proven business leaders to share experiences in carrying forward business initiatives to achieve sustainable growth. The participants will develop practical insights by working together in groups on thought provoking case studies of global corporations, guided by world class faculty. The intensive and transformative learning experience that AMP 2015, is designed to achieve, will enable the participants to contribute towards increasing the profitability of their organisations and create value for their share holders.

Participant Profile

The participants are selected from the top management teams of private and public sector companies. Past participants of AMP have been Managing Directors, CEOs, Executive Directors, General Managers, Joint General Managers and Deputy General Managers. Senior executives from commercial banks, finance companies and Reserve Bank of India would also benefit from the program. Officials from Government organizations such as the Ministries, Armed Forces and Ordnance Factory Board would also find the program useful.

India Component

The program will be delivered in four modules. The global business environment module is designed to enable the participants to develop competencies in tracking the changes in the environment and evaluate their impact on business. An important learning objective will be to develop skills and competencies to

evaluate growth opportunities. The core component of the program will be the strategic renewal module that emphasizes the renewal of strategy formulation in an increasingly competitive environment. The module on operational capabilities is designed to cover the tools and techniques that would contribute towards developing and sustaining a competitive advantage. The leadership module is designed to develop capabilities to inspire high performance teams to carry forward the business initiatives of the organization.

International Phase

The Indian component is complemented with a 5-day program at SDA Bocconi School of Management, Italy. This 5-day program aims at broadening the participants' perspectives on the key trends in the economic and business environment in Europe. The business models and approaches to management adopted by the most successful European and Italian companies, will be demonstrated.

The program commences with an introduction to the current economic and political context in Europe (in particular, Italy and Greece) and its impact on business activities. During the following days, recent trends in the European automotive industry, environmental regulation in Europe, leadership skills (negotiation and conflict management), growth strategies via joint ventures and alliances, will be covered.

In addition, the participants will have an opportunity for experiential learning through industry visits to leading global corporations in Milano, Rome, Venice, Paris, Zurich and Amsterdam.

The participants will have an opportunity to visit

Expo Milano 2015 which is a global event where more than 140 countries will participate. It is a platform for the exchange of ideas and shared solutions on the theme of FOOD. It will give an opportunity to taste the world's best cuisine, while discovering innovative strategies for a sustainable future of the exhibitor countries.

Course Fee Rs. 5,50,000/- (US $ 18000 ) plus applicable Service Tax (Subject to change depending on International Airfare)

Fee Includes Boarding and lodging expenses for the entire period of stay in Administrative Staff College of India, and round- trip economy airfare (group booking) for the study tour ex Mumbai / Delhi. It also includes visa fees, airport taxes and coach expenses for official visits.

Stay Expenses Abroad Lodge, boarding, out-of-pocket and sight-seeing expenses will have to be borne by the participants from their per diem, and the same will be paid directly to the travel agent concerned before the closure of the ASCI component of the program, i.e., forenoon of 28 August 2015.

· Important For administrative convenience, all arrangements for travel and stay will be made by ASCI.

· All the participants will travel, stay and participate in the program together as a group.

· Participants should possess passports that are valid at least until 31 March, 2016.

· The Schengen Visa rules stipulate that the passport should have been issued not earlier than 10 years at the time of visa application.

ASCI's AMP-2015 is a world-class learning experience designed to develop competencies for global leadership. The India component of the program will focus on analyzing the global business environment, formulating global strategies, achieving operational excellence and leveraging leadership potential. The academic content of the program will be delivered by faculty at ASCI, coupled with practical insights from industry experts.

The Europe component of the program is being delivered through a synergistic collaboration with SDA Bocconi, a leading business school in Europe. The faculty at SDA Bocconi will provide a perspective on the European economy and strategy formulation in a global context. In Europe, the participants will be visiting global corporations such as – Alitalia, ABB, Storengy and Phillips to get practical insights into the application of the concepts.

ASCI-AMP 2015 has been positioned to provide the competencies for fulfilling responsibilities at the Board level and CXO positions.The program provides the participants an opportunity to interact with industry leaders and broaden their professional network through shared experience with the peer group. ASCI AMP Alumni have benefited from attending our earlier programs and have been promoted to Board/CXO positions.
