Reauthorization Rating Scale

Exceeds Standard

(3 Points): Schools receiving this rating are able to demonstrate that their

performance surpasses expectations and that the school has clearly exceeded standards of

success. Schools repeatedly receiving this rating will be strongly recommended for

reauthorization.

Meets Standard

(2 Points): The target for this rating category sets the acceptable expectations

for a successful community school. Schools repeatedly earning this rating generally perform

well and are likely to continue previous success. Those schools receiving consistent ratings of

“Meets Standard” will be considered by OCCS for a reauthorization recommendation.

Does Not Meet Standard

(1 Point): Schools in this rating category have failed to adequately

meet the established review criteria. Schools achieving this rating have failed to meet minimum

expectations for performance. Schools meeting this standard are less likely to receive a

reauthorization recommendation.

Falls Far Below Standard

(0 Points): Schools that fall into this rating category are evaluated as

performing below the expectations. Schools frequently falling into this category have failed to

meet minimum expectations and are not likely to receive a reauthorization recommendation.
