With the acquisition of one of Turkey’s first IBM System/360 mainframe computers, Nebim starts offering its office services to other companies.

Nebim splits from Neyir Orme and becomes incorporated. It takes the name of Nebim Neyir Bilgisayar Sanayi ve Hizmetleri A.S.

Nebim becomes the distributor of Texas Instruments in Turkey, and starts selling hardware. It establishes a maintenance department within the organization to service the hardware products. Nebim moves its central offices to Dedeman Is Hani, which still serves as Nebim headquarters today. With the opening of an Ankara regional office, Nebim expands its operations.

Nebim starts developing Unix- and COBOL- based applications.

Nebim adopts a business model where a licensed “Packaged Software” is developed, licensed and supported, and thus officially becomes an “Independent Software Vendor”. A distribution channel is founded to distribute Nebim solutions all over Turkey.

Nebim starts a strategic partnership with Microsoft. It starts to develop software, running on Microsoft SQL server and offering a Windows based graphical user interface, based on software with Client/Server architecture.

Nebim Winner is introduced, one of Turkey’s first Enterprise Resource Planning ERP product that runs on a relational database and offers a graphical user interface.

With Winner’s introduction, Nebim ends its hardware and service operations and starts focusing solely on software development. Its transformation into an Independent Software Vendor is thus completed. In the meantime, other solution partners are added to the distribution channel to serve all of Turkey.

Nebim strengthens its strategic partnership with Microsoft established in 1997 even further, and thus reaches Microsoft Gold Certified Partner status.

With its more than 65 solution partners throughout Turkey, serving more than 9000 companies and more than 60,000 users of Nebim solutions, Nebim becomes the leader in software development for apparel, footwear, eyewear stores, chain stores, and department stores.

Companies can give a “Satisfaction Rating” to these activities once they are final and use this service that can be measured with score cards and reporting.

Nebim organizes numerous training sessions with the aim to

contribute to the professional and personal development of its users. With these training sessions, Nebim offers training and certification opportunities to individual candidates who would like to build a career in various areas from the cashier’s position to store management, from product management to information

technologies, as well as to experienced users who aim to use Nebim software at the expert level within their companies.

Nebim Basic User Training

The purpose of Nebim Basic User Training is to enable Nebim software users to utilize the software more efficiently and productively. During the Basic User Training, where basic business processes, receipt entries, and reports are covered, users are able to increase their experience by using the software with on a computer. Basic User Training can be attended by the personnel of corporate companies as well as “individually” by people pursuing their academic studies or by those who would like to make a change in their careers.

Expertise (Nebim Application Expert, NAE) Training

The purpose of Nebim Expertise Training is to teach using and managing the Nebim V3 software at an expert level as well as implementing it correctly within companies by getting to know the software’s parametric properties.

The applied training, where participants learn business concept information and consolidate this with the experience of configuring the Nebim software parametrically, prepare them to receive the “Nebim Application Expert (NAE) Certificate”, which enables them to prove their competence.

Participants, who are successful on the exams on Information Technologies, Product Management, Purchasing, Warehouse Management, Sales Channels, Finance Management, Accounting and Fixed Assets, and Store Management Expertise Training, qualify for the NAE Certificate. Those participants who are not interested in all the required topics for the NAE Certificate, can choose to be trained on the topics related to their own field and to attend the expertise exams of the relevant topics only. Complementary expertise training sessions are held alongside the training required to receive the NAE certificate. These expertise training sessions cover HR and Pay slip, Cost of the Merchandise, Discount and Campaigns, Report Development, and Production applications. Expertise Training sessions are offered both as “expedited difference training” tailored for those who have previously received the Basic User Training as well as sessions for those who have not received training before, covering both training areas.

New Version Training

The purpose of the Version Novelties Training is to introduce the novelties, which arrive with new software versions to users.

Version Novelties Training is free of charge for companies which have a NebimExtra Version Update and Support contract and for Nebim V3 users whose implementation project is ongoing.
