Dear Colleague,
I am delighted to announce the 2014 Surgical Services Summit, a high-level
networking and learning environment for the leaders and managers tasked with
running the business operations and patient safety in the surgical suite.
As we know too well, managing the surgical suite is not what it once was. We are past
the days of simply worrying about on-time starts and scheduling challenges. Today,
facing the impact of declining reimbursements, reductions in elective surgeries, and
penalties tied to quality, perioperative leaders are pivoting to new strategies that
will enable you to manage better under LEAN principles and consistent standards of
practice. In addition, top imperatives, including safety, reducing errors, preventing
readmissions and ensuring each patient has a positive surgical experience, must be
addressed in order to thrive in the era of value-based care.
With these educational needs in mind, and the requirement to shift skills and work
processes, the concept of the first annual Surgical Services Summit was born. I am
delighted to invite you to join us in Las Vegas for this groundbreaking opportunity.
The Summit will draw leaders from all over the nation, in hospitals and surgery
centers, who share your challenges and goals. The event will provide you an
exceptional opportunity to network and interact with key leaders and learn new
strategies and practices from your colleagues all in an intimate setting and
small-conference feel.
I look forward to seeing you and your team at the gorgeous Green Valley Ranch
Resort and Spa, a luxury venue in Las Vegas, NV! Please feel free to reach out to me
directly at any time if you have comments or questions.
All the best,
Carol Brault
