Film making and advanced drama class: (Ages 8 upwards) See separate date list in red. The cost of drama for 2021 will be R1140 per half year (January to June) and is payable before the classes start in January, unless other arrangements have been made. A once-off registration fee of R250-00 is also payable (for new members only) on registration. Children wishing to attend the advanced class must also attend normal classes. The advanced lessons usually hinge on what has already been taught. The cost of this class will be R1100 per half year.

Should your child make it into one of our productions, then rehearsal costs will be included in the price. Rehearsals may take place on other dates apart from the designated workshop dates, but mostly will be on Saturday afternoons

WHAT WILL HAPPEN?

Workshops will include learning all aspects of acting; characterisation, mime, stage movement, voice projection, voice production and stage skills. Part of the workshop will also include learning the skills necessary for putting on a production. Whilst taking part in the production singing, dancing, make-up and other skills will be introduced by professionals in those areas. Participants will frequently be given the opportunity of participating in productions and should they join after a production has started, they will be given a smaller role until the next production starts. Participation in shows is optional and will not affect regular Saturday workshops, as all rehearsals will be conducted outside these hours. Participants may be called to attend rehearsals later in the year on other days but will be warned well in advance. Rehearsals are compulsory and attendance affects the roles you will receive in the next production.

Dress Code: Participants are expected to dress in the *black drama T-shirt (or a similar black T-shirt), long pants/long shorts and closed shoes. Girls are please to have their hair tied back and not wear dresses or skirts.

* T-SHIRTS ARE AVAILABLE ON REQUEST @ R180-00
