200 controller introduction
Positioned next to the loom the series 200 controller is a purpose built controller which reads designs and transmits the information directly to the Jacquard.
Based on a 16 bit 80186 microprocessor it has a 3.5.inch DOS compatible disk drive
200 controller Component identification
The 200 controller incorporates 1 power supply and 3 boardsPower Supply. D.C. PSU unit -This unit receives the 110 AC from the Jacquard Power Supply and provides the motherboard with
the required voltage levels.
15v DC (LCD display) 5vDC (see section 6 / 3)
0vDC
AC transformer This unit also receives 110vAC
The outputs from this unit are 7AC
12AC (2 of) 22 AC
Motherboard: This is the board that controls and monitors the information (for both loom and jacquard). This information is obtained
from the design itself.
Loom interface board: This board will communicate with the loom i.e. transfer weft information, reverse signals, regulator etc. (parallel only)
Comms Board: This is the board that communicates with the jacquard head (it is also used to transfer additional information to the loom
when serial comms is used).
200 controller voltage setting
How to check the 5.1v level on the motherboard
(i) The voltage can be checked at the big blue capacitor C48 (ii) The voltage should be set at 5.10V dc(iii) To adjust the voltage locate the potentiometer VR1 on the 5 psu
Note
When adjusting always have the mulitimeter on connected and adjust clockwise to
increase voltage

5v.Red Light
The Voltage on the motherboard needs to be set at 5.10volts. If this voltage drops below this level the controller will not work correctly. This can be detected by the red light on the front panel shown below (and / or by the controller "warm" starting intermittently )

Simple Menu - Loading A Design
When using the simple menu the weaver simply inserts the disk into the controller (one design only) and selects F1 The controller will then automatically transfer the design through to the Jacquard head.

Now loaded and ready to weave
The loom will now be ready to weave with the jacquard weaving the newly inserted design.
Please note
(i) To get to the full menu press 43211 → enter
(ii) The limited menu will only function if there is only one design on the disk. An error message will be displayed if there are multiple designs on the disk
(iii) Any information previously stored in the memory will be over written using this menu.

Full Menu
When using the full menu the programming of a pattern is done in two stages. This is
shown in its basic format below / layout (below).
The information stored on the disk needs to be transferred to the memory
of the 200 controller
When using the full menu
use the worklist to program the electronic jacquard. (after transferring the design)
Note:
The information that has been Transferred to the memory in the controller needs to be made into a work list before the jacquard will weave the new design.
