Ultra Electronics consists of 30 autonomous businesses employing over 4,500 staff worldwide. As with any large company, succession planning and talent management are a priority. Historically, succession and development plans were created in Excel but as the business grew, Ultra found that this no longer worked.
They wanted a solution that would allow autonomous teams with their own unique business requirements to maintain control over their strategic HR information.
With hundreds of key employees within the overall corporate succession plan, it was vital that Ultra could automate management processes in one system.

Ultra chose Kallidus Talent because it offered a smart and simple way to manage talent and succession, saving time and money whilst accommodating business growth. After a swift implementation
programme, Ultra began utilising Kallidus immediately, by running a pilot in January 2011 to ensure the software met their integration capability requirements.
They purchased trial licenses for their Head Office, as well as a small selection of businesses in the UK, Canada and the USA. Results were impressive, so the decision was made to implement across all of the 30 businesses.
