PRAYER OF INVOCATION Linda Kowatch
God our Creator, we give you thanks for heaven and earth, for life and breath,
and for a love which bears, hopes, and endures all things.
We give you thanks for Jesus Christ,
who came to walk with us through the shadows of life and to lead into your kin-dom’s light.
Pour out your grace upon us now
and renew the calling and purpose of our lives.
Open our ears, our minds, our hearts
as we listen to your summons: “Come, follow me.”
As you invite us to push out into deep water, free us to respond in faith and praise. Amen.

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
And forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors.

and to the life we share as First Congregational United Church of Christ, Boulder.
Bless these gifts by the power of your Spirit.
Bless them and use them to keep us Rooted in your Love and Growing Together in worship, learning, service and prayer.
Bless them and use them to extend
your extravagant welcome, your lavish love, your abundant life, your shining light.
By your blessing,
may they release through us a flow of compassion and mercy that will bring more justice and more joy.
By your blessing,
turn them into food for the hungry,
healing for those who hurt, and hope for the world.
Gracious God, to you and to your purposes, we dedicate all that we have and all that we are.
All this we pray, giving thanks in Christ’s name. Amen.

(303-442-1787 Extension 0) or our Stewardship Chair, Libby Black Small Group Grief Sessions - For Marshall Fire Evacuees - on Zoom
While our congregation is attending to church members and friends who have completely lost their homes in the Marshall fire, we are also aware there are many in our congregation experiencing a different grief, having returned from evacuation to intact houses in neighborhoods destroyed. We want to make room for those who have experienced this second kind of emotional trauma to gather for conversation and support. So that everyone who lives in an area impacted by the fire will have a chance to talk, Bill Forbes, grief Counselor, and Chris Braudaway-Bauman are offering three small group opportunities. If you live in Louisville, Superior, or the Marshall Road region of Boulder, please see the Sunday Morning email to sign-up to attend one.
