small children. In Châtelaillon-Plage, Les Boucholeurs is a

charming fishermen’s village well known for its oyster and

mussel farms.

Enjoy your vacation in a cosy, green environment.The pitches

are sunny or partly shaded and delimitated wich will ensure you

a pleasant and relaxing stay. Our shady and delimitated pitches

will ensure you a pleasant and relaxing stay. Some of the trees

are over forty years old and we newly designed fully serviced

camping pitches. Have a swim in the pool or cycle along the

coast. In July and August our entertainment team organizes

during the day all sorts of activities so your children will have a

good time! Feel free to stop by yourself and get a hug from our

mascot Cagouille.

Discover the beautiful landscape of the Atlantic coast, the

nature reserves and the islands. Our campsite is also an ideal

spot to visit cultural and historical sites.

After a day of new impressions, come sip a cocktail and enjoy a

meal in the Patio. After that you’ll be ready for the evening

entertainment for the entire family !

campsite and we of course remain at your complete disposal for

any further questions you might have.

The Poitou-Charentes comes

temperatures you can even enjoy

the sun in the low season. Public

transportation in Châtelaillon and

the surroundings is very well

developed and at 150m from the

campsite you can take the bus

into the centre of La Rochelle.

By plane : Bordeaux airport (150km) or La Rochelle airport (25km).

Direct flights to La Rochelle from London, Dublin, Birmingham,

Manchester, Leeds and more !

By train : TGV from Paris to La Rochelle (15km). TER from La

Rochelle to Châtelaillon-Plage, then bus n°16 to “Les Boucholeurs”.

By car : Motorway A10, exit La Rochelle. Just before La Rochelle

follow the national road RD137 and take the exit Châtelaillon-Plage.

At the first roundabout take “Châtelaillon-Plage”. At the second

roundabout take “Les Boucholeurs” and then follow “Camping Au

Port-Punay”.

Reception

At arrival we will welcome you in English. Our staff will inform you

on the services and facilities of the campsite and will also give you

a brochure on the village. Afterwards we will take you to your

camping pitch or accommodation. At the reception you will also

find brochures on family trips, cultural visits as well as daytrips to

the islands Ré, Oléron and Aix. We have a box office for tickets to

the aquarium of La Rochelle. For more information on our Wi-Fi

connections feel free to come and see us at the reception too !

Shop

In the morning you can find home baked croissants, baguettes, full

wheat bread, etc… You will also find milk products, drinks,

postcards, tabloids, English newspapers and typical products from

the region such as Pineau des Charentes and Cognac.

Pool

The water is heated from May through September so you can enjoy

the pool as well in the low as in the high season. Your children will

have fun and for the little ones there also is a paddling pool,

separated from the big pool. For security reasons the entrance of

our pool has a porch with a child safe lock.

Snack Bar Le Patio

Have your brunch in the Patio with view on the pool. For lunch you

can try one of our home made pizza’s and have melon flavored ice

cream. In the late afternoon try one of our cocktails and have diner

in Le Patio. Taste our different French and international dishes! You

prefer to eat “at home” ? The Patio also has a large choice in take

away food.

In the Patio you’ll also find computers to e-mail family and friends

or surf on the internet.

Entertainment

From July 2nd until August 26th, every day except for Saturday, our entertainers

together with our mascot Cagouille organise all sorts of activities for the children :

treasure hunt, fun games, water games, paint workshops, dancing and singing.

We hardly have any entertainment for teenagers.

From Monday to Friday there’s also evening entertainment for the entire family.

This entertainment ends at about 23:00 and the patio closes half an hour later.

This will enable you to have a good night’s sleep and be in shape for daytrips the

next day !

Daytrips

Located in between La Rochelle and Rochefort and in front of the islands Ré, Aix

and Oléron there are lots of possibilities for daytrips. Châtelaillon-Plage and its

surroundings can easily be discovered by bike and that way you can see the small

houses of the oyster and mussel cultivators or the nature reserve in Yves. Stroll

along the beach of Les Boucholeurs until you reach the market which takes place

twice a week in Châtelaillon.

For those interested in architecture, visit La Rochelle with the arcades, the Big

Clock and the two towers. In Rochefort you’ll find the Corderie Royale.

Don’t forget to visit the islands : Ré with over 100kms of cycle paths, Oléron and

passing the nature reserve of Marennes and finally Aix to simply enjoy the nature,

the small creeks and the typical rambler roses growing everywhere on the island.

This last daytrip is a pleasure for those who are fond of culture but also for the

children since the cruise also takes you to see the Fort Boyard.

For the little ones, nothing better than the aquarium of La Rochelle !

Buy your tickets at reception to avoid queuing at the aquarium !

Sports

Outdoor fitness equipment is available at the site to get you started in the morning

! At the reception you can rent bikes for adults and children, child seats, etc… You

will also receive a cycle map which will enable you to make some nice trips. At

1.5km from the site you can windsurf or even kite surf ! There are tennis courts at

2km from the campsite and at 5km there’s a riding school. At 15km from the

campsite you can find the 9 holes golf course of St Laurent.

If you’re fond of walking, ask for the pedestrian map. Different tracks are

mentioned which will enable you to get a close view of the historical monuments.

Other services

You’ll be surprised by the quality of the sanitary building and we’re very attached

to the maintenance and cleanliness of the building. For disabled people we have a

large toilet and shower room and for the little ones there’s a baby bathroom

available. In the laundry room you’ll find washing machines and a dryer.

Cancellation Insurance

During your reservation, you can tick the box for an insurance. All details are on

our website, page CANCELLATION INSURANCE. Please read the information on

the insurance very well because not all reasons for cancellation will be taken into

account for restitution. Should you decide to cancel, the contact will be directly

with the Insurance CAMPEZ COUVERT and not our campsite. Once the booking

has been made, adding an insurance through us is not possible anymore. Please

check with your bank or insurance then, maybe they can still help you.

Your camping pitch

Our camping pitches are delimitated and about 90m

All standard pitches can have electric hook up, it’s up to

you to decide if you need it.

The difference with the Grand Confort pitches is not so much the size

but the extra services on the pitch :

- Private waste water drainage

- TV connection

- Electric included

- WIFI access for one device (streaming, music and/or movie

downloading is not possible)

Our site is equipped according to the European standards. Don’t

forget to bring the European adaptor or buy one at reception (17

€).

Camping Pitch Rates

Price per night in euro’s, arrival after 14.00, departure before 12.00.

Maximum 6 persons per camping pitch. For security and insurance reasons, this is the maximum capacity of the camping pitch. The campsite's management is allowed to refuse all extra persons on site once this capacity is reached.

Barbecues are allowed on a camping pitch, the barbecue has to be on stilts, unless decided otherwise by the authorities or weather conditions.

Tourist tax not included (FYI 0,61€ / night / person of 18 years and older). 116 camping pitches (on a total of 157) on a site of 3 ha.

Our range of accommodation was entirely renewed in 2011 and is of

excellent quality. This will enable outdoor living with a certain level of

comfort. In July and August, arrival and departure take place on Saturdays. In the

low season arrival and departure can take place every week day, according to

availability.

All forms of barbecue are prohibited in the case of accommodation rental. A collective barbecue is at your disposal on site.

At departure the accommodation has to be left clean. Should you prefer having us do the final cleaning (60€), please mention this at the latest at your arrival on site. Final cleaning doesn’t include taking out the rubbish and please note that the dishes and tableware have to be left clean in the cupboards.

Extracts Campsite Regulations

General terms and conditions for reservation

of a camping pitch or accommodation

This is an extract of the campsite regulations. At arrival you will have to take notice of the entire text available at the reception.

Entry conditions : In order to enter and stay on the campsite the tenant must have the permission of the Campsite’s management or representative. The stay implies acceptance of the regulations and a commitment to conform to them.

Visitors : After having been authorized by the campsite’s management or representative, visitors can enter the campsite. The tenant is responsible for his/her visitors. A tenant can receive one or more visitors at the reception. If these visitors are allowed to enter the campsite, the campsite will charge the tenant with a supplement since these visitors will be able to access the services and facilities of the campsite (no entrance to the pool). The price for a visitor is marked at the entrance as well as at the reception. Visitors’ cars have to be parked outside the campsite. The campsite's management has the right to refuse visitors if the maximum capacity of the mobile home or camping pitch is reached.

Pets : Pets are not allowed in the case of accommodation rental. Even visitor’s pets are not allowed. In the case of camping pitch rental, pets are only allowed by the campsite management after having presented the documents requested by the health services (dogs of the 1st and 2nd category are not allowed). They must be kept on a lead and their owners must keep an eye on them at all times. Pets are not allowed to be left alone (to avoid barking). Their owner must see to avoiding dog dirt on the campsite and if necessary, cleaning up behind their animals. Pets have to be walked outside the campsite at all times. Pets are not allowed at/in the sanitary block, pool, play ground and the shop and eating facilities.

Traffic & parking : On the campsite, the speed limit is 10km/hour. No traffic between 22.00 and 07.00.Only vehicles belonging to tenants (registered guests) are allowed on the campsite. Parking is strictly forbidden on other tenants’ camping / accommodation pitches and the car has to be parked on the tenant’s own pitch without blocking traffic or setting up of new tenants.

Installation : The vehicle, tent or caravan must be parked on the therefore designated pitch and according to the directives of the campsite management. Without authorization, the vehicle, tent or caravan can not be moved to another pitch. The campsite’s direction only decides on the assignment of camping pitches and rental accommodation. It is strictly forbidden to put up a tent, awning or other sorts of delimitation on rental accommodation pitches.

Security : Fire : Open fires low to the ground are strictly forbidden. Barbecues are authorized, unless the authorities decide otherwise for weather conditions. A large collective barbecue is also at your disposal in the centre of the campsite. No barbecue allowed in the case of accommodation rental.

Behavior and respect of the facilities : Tenants have to empty their grey water in the therefor meant area or in the chemical toilets, at their disposal in the sanitary block. Household rubbish is to be separated and thrown away in the different dustbins for recycling. Plants, flowers and trees are not to be destroyed. The tenant is not allowed to plant flowers, trees or any other vegetation, hit nails in trees and cut branches. It’s not allowed either to delimitate the pitch with personal things (as hanging laundry in between plants and trees) or dig holes in the ground.

Children : Children must be accompagnied by an adult at all times in the campsite’s collective facilities (pool, sanitary building, play ground, snack-bar).

Pool : Access to the swimming pool only for tenants (registered guests). Visitors do not have access to the pool.

Games : Dangerous or disturbing games are forbidden close to vegetation and/or camping pitches/accommodations/camping facilities.

Silence : Each tenant must respect the silence between 23.00 and 07.00.

Minors : For security reasons, children under 18 are not allowed on site if not accompanied by their parents.

Reservation :

Each reservation request implies having taken knowledge of the description of the subject of the reservation as well as it’s price and having accepted the Campsite’s Regulations and the General Terms and Conditions of the Reservation of a camping pitch or accommodation, mentioned below. Each rental contract is personal and retrocession to a third party is not possible. The enclosed reservation proposal is subject to availability on the day of sending. The management is not committed in any other way. The reservation contract must be completed and returned ASAP. Please enclose the deposit including the reservation fees which are non-deductible of the total amount. The written confirmation will be returned along with your reservation contract. You must hand over these two documents at your arrival on the Campsite. The reservation stands only after having received a written confirmation from the campsite’s Management. Tenants civil responsibilities must be covered by an appropriate insurance or a camping club card. If at arrival, there are more persons present than the maximum number allowed in the accommodation (criteria according to the range) or on the camping pitch (6), the campsite's management has the right to cancell the reservation. No reimbursement shall be made.

Arrival and Departure : Camping Pitch Accommodation

In the case of accommodation, one must leave before 10.00 AM and the departure time must be notified at the reception the day before (even if the balance has already been paid). All delay in departure shall lead to an extra charge. In the case of a camping pitch, an extra day will be charged when departure after 12H00.

Means of payment : A booking stands from the moment that we receive the deposit.

• Camping pitch : 25% deposit + 18€ reservation fees. The balance is requested once on site, the day before leaving.

• Accommodation : 30% deposit + 18€ reservation fees. The balance is requested at max. 30 days before your arrival and can be made per credit card or international banking. If the balance has not been received at 30 days before arrival, your reservation will automatically be cancelled in our computer system and the deposit will not be restitituted. Should you book within 30 days before arrival, the entire amount of the stay will be requested.

No Show : THE CONFIRMED RESERVATIONS OF CAMPING PITCHES AND ACCOMMODATION SHALL BE KEPT FOR 24 HOURS. After this delay (except when the management has been informed by writing or in the case of exceptional circumstances), the reservation of the camping pitches and accommodation expires and the pitches and accommodation are again available. The deposit and reservation fees shall not be reimbursed/refunded.

Cancellation : In the event of cancellation, the amount paid into the account of the campsite shall be kept by the latter. In all cases, the amount of the deposit as well as the reservation fees shall not be refunded.

Early departure :

• Accommodation : in the case of early departure or late arrival, no amount shall be refunded and the management is free to rent again the vacant accommodation.

• Camping pitch : the amount of the deposit and reservation fees will not be refunded. The campsite has the right to ask for the total amount of the stay as mentioned on the reservation contract.

Deposit & inventory : For accommodation, and again before taking possession of it, a deposit of 260€ will be requested :

deposit for breaking, loss or other damage to the rental (200€) and a deposit for the cleaning of the rental (60€). These deposits will be returned at departure, the exact amount will depend on the inventory and the cleanliness of the rental. The inventory takes place upon appointment between 8.00 AM and 10.00 AM. We strongly advise you to make the appointment ASAP before departure. One who has not taken an appointment, shall have to respect the time fixed by the management. All missing/damaged equipment or material will be charged according to the prices marked on the inventory paper. To standardize our inventories tenants are asked not to add items purchased outside. PLEASE NOTE : if the departure takes place outside of the foreseen hours the deposit shall be sent by post within 8 days. The final cleaning service (60€) does not include washing the dishes or putting out the dustbins. Extra persons, not mentioned on the reservation contract, as visitors and extra tenants, will only be admitted by the campsite's management if the maximum capacity of the campsite, camping pitch or accommodation (mind the ages, according to the range) has not been reached. Once admitted, extra persons have to respect the campsite's regulations. At arrival they have to present themselves at the reception, pay the entrance fees for a “visitor” or “extra person” and leave their car outside the premises.

The prices include a 10% VAT, which is applicable on the time these prices have been made. Should the VAT rate change in between the pricing and the billing, the price of the stay will change in the same way as the VAT rate will.

In the event of litigation only the Court chosen by the defendant will be competent.
