SHRM 2011 Leadership Conference
The SHRM Leadership Conference gives you the tools you need to become a trusted, strategic leader within your organization and in a volunteer role. Join us in Arlington, Va., for a dynamic set of preconference meetings and development sessions to hone your leadership management skills.
The sessions offered during the conference address a wide variety of volunteer leadership and operational topics to assist you in your volunteer experiences with SHRM as well as provide some great “take-away” topics for your personal and professional development.

Ray Jefferson is the Assistant Secretary for the Veterans’ Employment and Training Service (VETS) at the U.S. Department of Labor. VETS serves as the national advocate for veterans’ employment. VETS provides veterans and service members with the resources and services to succeed by maximizing their employment opportunities, protecting their employment rights and meeting labor-market demands with qualified veterans. Prior to being appointed to this role by President Barack Obama, Jefferson served as a leadership consultant with McKinsey & Company in Singapore where he created and delivered leadership training and development programs for clients

This session focuses on the broad span of issues faced by CMPs in the provision of administrative and operational support to affiliated chapters. It also includes conference orientation information, an opportunity to meet your CMP colleagues and join in on a facilitated discussion on topics of special interest to Executive Directors and Chapter Managers.

Hear best practices and “lessons learned” from volunteers who have succeeded in your role before you. It’s also a great way to network before the conference gets started!

Developed specifically with State Membership Directors in mind, the Membership Summit consists of special programming related to membership acquisition and retention. HOUSING REIMBURSEMENTS
