    Please state any reservations you may have about our Statement of Faith (attached):        Christian Heritage Academy is a member of Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI). ACSI believes that biblical marriage is limited to a  covenant relationship between a man and a woman. As an ACSI member and accredited ACSI school, CHA concurs with ACSI and affirms this  expectation for how the faculty and staff will live and teach on matters of human sexuality.    Please state any reservations you may have about our definition of marriage as described above:

Statement of Faith

Excerpted from the Constitution of the Association of Christian Heritage Academy  

The basis of this organization shall be the Word of God. The following declaration expresses the common faith of its membership:  

1. We believe that all the words of the Scriptures, both Old and New Testament, are the inspired Word of God, without error in 

the original writings, the complete revelation of His will for the salvation of men, and the divine and final authority for all 

Christian faith and life.  

2. We believe in one God, creator of all things, infinitely perfect and eternally existing in three persons, Father, Son and Holy 

Spirit.  

3. We believe that Jesus Christ is true God and true man, having been conceived of the Holy Ghost and born of the Virgin Mary. 

He died on the cross as a sacrifice for our sins according to the Scriptures. Further, He arose bodily from the dead and 

ascended into heaven, where at the right hand of the Majesty on High, He now is our High Priest and Advocate.  

4. We believe that the ministry of the Holy Spirit is to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ, and during this age to convict men, 

regenerate the sinner, and indwell, guide, instruct and empower the believer for godly living and service.  

5. We believe that man was created in the image of God but fell into sin and is therefore lost, and only through regeneration by 

the Holy Spirit, repentance from sin and faith in Jesus Christ, can salvation and spiritual life be obtained.  

6. We believe that the shed blood of Jesus Christ and His resurrection provide the only ground for justification and salvation for 

all who believe, and only such as receive Jesus Christ are justified and adopted into God’s family, and thus become children 

of God.  

7. We believe that water baptism and the Lord's Supper are ordinances to be observed by the Church during the present age. 

They are, however, not to be regarded as means of salvation.  

8. We believe that the true Church is composed of all and only such persons who through saving faith in Jesus Christ have been 

justified and are united together in the body of Christ of which He is Head.  

9. We believe that Jesus Christ is the Lord and Head of the Church.  

10. We believe in the personal and bodily return of our Lord Jesus Christ and that this "Blessed Hope" has a vital bearing on the 

personal life and service of the believer.  

11. We believe in the bodily resurrection of the dead: of the believer to everlasting blessedness and joy with the Lord, and of 

the unbeliever to judgment and everlasting conscious punishment.  

12. We believe that God has ordained marriage from the beginning to be a covenant relationship between one man and one 

woman (Genesis 2:24). We believe the Bible opposes as sinful and self‐destructive any sexual activity outside of the one‐

flesh relationship of biblical marriage, whether adultery, pornography, homosexuality, or any other kind of sexual activity 

(Leviticus 18; 20:10‐21; Exodus 20:14; Matthew 5:27‐30; Romans 1:26‐27; 1 Corinthians 6:12‐20; Hebrews 13:4; etc.).
