Course description

This subject presents an analysis of the most important artistic manifestations of the 20th century and athe beginning of the 21st century. It no only deals with the traditional genres but also the new expressive forms and artistic codes. At the same time it also provides a view of the historical graphic models of contemporary art.

Introduction to 3D Modeling and Animation: Basic modeling, texture mapping and lighting techniques and basic animation. Basic Composition and Render settings. Within the context of computer vision, theory and practice

The aim is to understand and handle the materials and techniques of painting as well as the physics of color and the physiology of color perception, designate and organize colors, understand and handle the harmony and chromatic conrtrast, understand the psychological dimension of color and handle the autonomous and plastic

function of color and composition. 2º curso: 12:30-16:30

Drawing of space, object and information

Students will go into the practical learning of drawing in depth as an expressive tool of design which will allow to deal with informative and descriptive content of the object, the graphical representation of the meaning (subjective and abstract) of the project, and the intention of the own design. The course will focus on the graphic education of the student from a private optical view and self-sufficient of the drawing phenomenon, encouraging a creative attitude and widening of their visual universe, as well as the development of critical

We will study the fundamentals of typography, written languages and the creation of the alphabet we use today without thinking of it, considering its use in print, its stylistic development with regard to the major art

Evolution and development of film analysis from different perspectives: social, historical, artistic, aesthetic and technical. Know the fundamental elements of a film and its informative characteristics and its position in the historical trajectory. Technical structure. Structure of the visual image. Syntax of the image. The spectator and the evoker. The camera and its points of view.

Evolution and development of universal animation film in its different aspects: social, historical, artistic and aesthetic. Analysis or narrative structures of different short films, movies and animation series. Analyze its recent content, with a general animated systems and videogames vision. Development of vocabulary specific to videogame animation. Creation of scenes generated by the combination of synthesis elements and its implementation in virtual environments. Interactivity.

Direction and planning foundations. Vision of the systems and organizational structure. Mise-en-scène, filming and directing actors. Directing and editing. Film as the product of foundation of creation. Development of vocabulary specific to film production.

Use of the necessary tools for the production of audiovisual pieces in the register phase as well as in postproduction and broadcasting. This way the student will learn how to use professional equipment and soundtrack material, and carry out production and postproduction. Analysis of the criteria and use of the musical production for radiophonic spaces as well as for expressive functions.

Control photographic techniques to produce satisfactory visual results. Theoretical and practical content is developed, through the analysis and synthesis of the principles that form, capture and register photographs.

The press and public relations are the practices of managing the flow of information between an organization and its publics Effective communication is key to succeeding in today’s business and institutional environment. Public relations activities include helping the public to understand the organization and its products. Often, public relations are conducted through the media public: that is, newspapers, television, magazines, etc. A solid media and PR department team includes important roles: a media coordinator, a writer, a spokesperson…. Each is critical to the others, and each is also vital independently to the process of effective media management.

This course is a continuation of other courses such as Introduction to Marketing and Market Research, providing global knowledge regarding the behaviour of the individual consumer, considering his culture and social group. Students will learn to recognise typical psychological reactions to an advertising message, such as the decision to buy.

Theoretical basis of Advertising, overview of the advertising and brands system, principles of organizational structures and operation, definition of stakeholders; introduction to product and brand management, vocabulary development activities. Advertising, agents involved in the advertising process: agency, advertiser, media.

English for specific purposes, study of vocabulary, syntax, grammar, etc. of the English language applied to the field of advertising communication.

Images: relocating an element, rearranging parts, defining edges, clean text and logos, adding and repairing, removing unwanted items and improving others. Composition. 3D Connection. Combining text and graphics. Using layers and styles. Creating more complex art. Fused forms for shading. Design with FreeHand and Illustrator page. Multipage documents. Animation settings. Each is critical to the others, and each is also vital independently to the process of effective media management.

Study of current standards of creativity and innovation processes in television. Students will see new opportunities in emerging fields like Internet, as well as the synergies between traditional models and the latest trends. In addition, students will become familiar with hybrid codes (TV + Internet) and content distribution in the new audiovisual platforms.
