Caveats & Limitations

The following table provides a description of NVIDIA graphics cards caveats and limitations. NVIDIA Graphics Cards Caveats and Limitations

Graphics Card Driver OS Limitation / Caveat Status /

Workaround

All All Microsoft

Windows Vista

Random viewport freezes have been noticed on Windows Vista with NVIDIA professional graphics cards such as QuadroFX.

None

The following table provides a description of ATI graphics cards caveats and limitations. ATI Graphics Cards Caveats and Limitations

Graphics Card Driver OS Limitation / Caveat Status /

Workaround

All All All Bug 315859 – Working in 4

viewports mode may cause the user the interface or some tools to lag.

Application slowdowns have also been noticed upon:

• loading panorama

• loading multiple images • toggling between full-screen

and window mode

• navigating through the user interface

• moving the cursor from a viewport to another. Autodesk currently working closely with ATI to resolve the issues

Operating System Dependent & Miscellaneous Issues

The following limitations/caveats are still being investigated. Autodesk has not identified the precise combination of factors involved. Please refer to the “Release Notes” for further details on known issues with ImageModeler.

Limitation / Caveat

Bug Number OS Description / Workaround

315748 All Moving the viewport separator can leave trails/artifacts

in the viewport

315749 All Anti-aliasing mode only affects 3D objects. The draw axis

is not affected by this display preference

315756 All Changing the viewport mode from 1 view to 4 views will

result in the wireframe color changing from white to blue, for textured objects that have capture patterns created and visible on them.

N/A Microsoft

Windows 64-bit operating systems

Users running ImageModeler on 64-bit operating systems may experience random problems in different parts of the application. As stated in the system requirements, this version is only supported on 32-bit operating systems.

N/A All Display issues have been found when using

ImageModeler in dual screen mode whereby textures may appear as red texture and fonts as red square. The

workaround is to use Extended screen mode instead of

the Dual screen mode.

N/A All ImageModeler does not support graphic tablet pen

pointer behavior. If you use a graphic tablet, you must switch to a mouse pointer behavior.
