Configuration Guide

1

Purpose

The purpose of this document is to describe the general configuration steps required to manually set up the configuration within the system landscape that has already been installed using the corresponding installation or configuration guides for installation.

The Configuration Guide describes how to set up the configuration of a Building Block manually, without the support of automated configuration tools. If you want to use BC Sets and CATT procedures for an automated installation process, refer to the Building Block

Installation Guide of the Integration of Warehouse Management.

2

Preparation

.2.1 Prerequisites

If you want to use the Integration of Warehouse Management, install the following Building Blocks in your SAP system:

Building Block # Component Description

B00 SAP R/3 Building Block Generic Documentation B26 SAP R/3 Core Client Master Building Block B10 SAP R/3 Core Client Organizational Structure B29 SAP R/3 BB Core FI Germany

B27 SAP R/3 Core Client SD Building Block B28 SAP R/3 Core Client MM Building Block

B30 SAP R/3 BB Standard Cost & Profit Center Acctg. Germany If you want to use the Integration of Warehouse Management, install the following SAP Notes in your SAP system:

(7)

.2.2 Uploading the Configuration Role

Use

Before you start with the configuration according to the manual procedures described in this Configuration Guide, you need to upload the configuration role and assign it to your user. The Building Block Integration of Warehouse Management provides a configuration role for each mySAP.com component that is involved in this configuration, such as SAP APO; SAP R/3, or SAP CRM. The configuration role enables you to comfortably access all transactions required for the configuration from the relevant system. The following roles are available:

Technical name Description File name for upload

P06_01I Integration of Warehouse Management P06_01I.SAP

Procedure

For details how to upload the configuration roles to the system and how to work with the roles please refer to Building Block Essential Documentation.

Determining Search Sequence

The search sequence essentially determines the storage sections in which a material with a certain storage section indicator in the material master can be stored. The storage section search function is not only used to locate the storage bin, but also to prevent certain materials from being stored elsewhere manually. This functionality is used in particular with hazardous materials and materials placed in cold storage.

1. Choose the button Determining Search Sequence.

2. On the Change View “Storage Section Search”: Overview screen choose New entries and make the following entries:
