Start-up services help our customers reach maximum productivity quickly after investing in a Datacard®solution.
Start-up services usually include installation and training, and may also include custom integration, project management and network configuration.
Installation refers to the pre-work we do to make your site ready for installation, as well as the physical process of unpacking, powering up and testing the system. It also includes
basic operator training. In addition, we offer additional training services for specific systems. All of these activities are performed by seasoned
Datacard experts.
Ultimately, start-up services enable you to get new systems up and running at full capacity on a faster schedule. We have installed these systems in many different environments, so we understand what needs to happen in order for your staff to maintain high throughput and deliver outstanding results.

WHAT ARE INSTALLATION SERVICES?
When you leverage the expertise of Datacard technical specialists to install your new products, the typical outcome is a faster, smoother process that minimizes the interruption to current operations. Of course, every situation may require different services, so options are available for each unique installation.
In general, standard installation includes the physical setup of the system and end-to-end testing to make sure it is functioning correctly. Our team integrates the system into your operating environment and performs basic network and database connections, establishes initial user rights and permissions, and verifies that the system is processing production data accurately.
Installation may also include a site preparation review, analysis of production applications, project planning, verification and installation of software, initial configuration and setup of software, and basic operator training, during which operators learn to operate modules, replace supplies, detect errors and troubleshoot common issues.

We provide four types of training to make sure your operators, administrators and maintenance engineers have the tools, skills and knowledge to manage new systems effectively, make adjustments to increase productivity and produce high-quality output with consistency and repeatability.
• Operator certification training. This is a detailed, intense training session, during which
operators learn how to optimize system performance and achieve maximum utilization of the new equipment in the shortest period of time.
• System administrator training. These sessions give system administrators, shift
supervisors and lead operators the tools and knowledge to produce output (cards, passports, finished packages) efficiently. Training focuses primarily on correct handling of data files and job setups.
• Maintenance training. Designed for the technicians who work on your equipment, these
sessions focus on error recovery, scheduled maintenance and mechanical repair.
• Customized training. We can create a custom package of training services for virtually
any requirement.

To help integrate our systems with third-party equipment, we can also provide system architecture design, documentation, technical project management, staging and testing, as well as services that simplify the transition to multi-application smart cards.
