Enclosed you will find registration materials for the 2014 Southeast Christian School Convention in Myrtle Beach at the Convention Center on September 24-26, 2014. We are looking forward to a great meeting. The theme for the convention is “Increasing in Wisdom and Stature.” Please pray that the Lord would visit with us in an unusual way during our convention. Pray for wisdom, power, and freedom for our speakers and presenters. Pray for delegates to have receptive hearts and minds eager to learn.
Registration begins at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday and opens again at 7:30 a.m. on Thursday. The opening session is at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday. Jim Schettler (Vice President, West Coast Baptist College) will be our speaker. We know our hearts will be challenged by this man of God! Don’t miss this session! (See enclosed schedule)
The Convention Center offers the four-star Sheraton hotel. If you stay in the Sheraton, you may walk from the hotel directly into the meeting space area. In addition, covered parking is provided free of charge for those staying at the Sheraton. Let me encourage you to take advantage of this convention hotel. It will make your convention experience much more enjoyable. Please note that those staying at the host property qualify for discounted convention registration.
Enclosed you will find a complete listing for all of the hotels that have rooms blocked especially for our convention. You will need to let them know you are with the convention to get the convention rate. Some of these rooms will go quickly, so it’s “first come - first served.” Make your reservations early. You can always change them later if necessary.
There are two other great General Sessions featuring Glen Schultz (Founder and Director, Kingdom Education Ministries) and Chad Connelly (RNC National Director for Faith Engagement). Add eight informative and challenging workshop slots by some of our country’s leading presenters, and you come up with a great time ahead for those in attendance! Over 140 workshops to choose from!
Once again this year we will have wonderful prize drawings for the convention. Each registrant has an opportunity to win these nice prizes along with a host of other giveaways.
This will be a great time for teachers and child care staff to earn contact hours of training toward certification renewal or DSS requirements for caregivers and directors. In early September all workshops will be posted at www.ChristianEducation.org and those applicable for credit toward child care training hours will be listed on the C-Net website.
Please complete and return your registration form as soon as you can. You may change or add names later if necessary. Take advantage of the early registration at $65 per registrant. Registrations received between August 30 and September 15 will be $70. Late registration is $75. Additionally, any convention attendees that use the Sheraton for lodging can take $10 off the registration fee. That’s right—early registrants can attend the convention for only $55. Please remember to make your rooming arrangements early.
