.By the standards of the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM). I have to evaluate yourself the following: As an ACM computing professional I will ....
-Strive to achieve the highest quality, effectiveness and dignity in both the process and products of professional work.
Excellence is perhaps the most important obligation of a professional. The computing professional must strive to achieve quality and to be cognizant of the serious negative consequences that may result from poor quality in a system.
-Acquire and maintain professional competence.
Excellence depends on individuals who take responsibility for acquiring and maintaining professional competence. A professional must participate in setting standards for appropriate levels of competence, and strive to achieve those standards. Upgrading technical knowledge and competence can be achieved in several ways:doing independent study; attending seminars, conferences, or courses; and being involved in professional organizations.
-Know and respect existing laws pertaining to professional work.
ACM members must obey existing local, state, province, national, and international laws unless there is a compelling ethical basis not to do so. Policies and procedures of the organizations in which one participates must also be obeyed. But compliance must be balanced with the recognition that sometimes existing laws and rules may be immoral or inappropriate and, therefore, must be challenged. Violation of a law or regulation may be ethical when that law or rule has inadequate moral basis or when it conflicts with another law judged to be more important. If one decides to violate a law or rule because it is viewed as unethical, or for any other reason, one must fully accept responsibility for one's actions and for the consequences.
-Be honest and trustworthy.
Honesty is an essential component of trust. Without trust an organization cannot function effectively. The honest computing professional will not make deliberately false or deceptive claims about a system or system design, but will instead provide full disclosure of all pertinent system limitations and problems.
A computer professional has a duty to be honest about his or her own qualifications, and about any circumstances that might lead to conflicts of interest.
Membership in volunteer organizations such as ACM may at times place individuals in situations where their statements or actions could be interpreted as carrying the "weight" of a larger group of professionals. An ACM member will exercise care to not misrepresent ACM or positions and policies of ACM or any ACM units.
-Honor property rights including copyrights and patent.
Violation of copyrights, patents, trade secrets and the terms of license agreements is prohibited by law in most circumstances. Even when software is not so protected, such violations are contrary to professional behavior. Copies of software should be made only with proper authorization. Unauthorized duplication of materials must not be condoned.
-Respect the privacy of others.
Computing and communication technology enables the collection and exchange of personal information on a scale unprecedented in the history of civilization. Thus there is increased potential for violating the privacy of individuals and groups. It is the responsibility of professionals to maintain the privacy and integrity of data describing individuals. This includes taking precautions to ensure the accuracy of data, as well as protecting it from unauthorized access or accidental disclosure to inappropriate individuals. Furthermore, procedures must be established to allow individuals to review their records and correct inaccuracies.
This imperative implies that only the necessary amount of personal information be collected in a system, that retention and disposal periods for that information be clearly defined and enforced, and that personal information gathered for a specific purpose not be used for other purposes without consent of the individual(s). These principles apply to electronic communications, including electronic mail, and prohibit procedures that capture or monitor electronic user data, including messages, without the permission of users or bona fide authorization related to system operation and maintenance. User data observed during the normal duties of system operation and maintenance must be treated with strictest confidentiality, except in cases where it is evidence for the violation of law, organizational regulations, or this Code. In these cases, the nature or contents of that information must be disclosed only to proper authorities.
-Improve public understanding of computing and its consequences.
Computing professionals have a responsibility to share technical knowledge with the public by encouraging understanding of computing, including the impacts of computer systems and their limitations. This imperative implies an obligation to counter any false views related to computing.
-Uphold and promote the principles of this Code.
The future of the computing profession depends on both technical and ethical excellence. Not only is it important for ACM computing professionals to adhere to the principles expressed in this Code, each member should encourage and support adherence by other members.
1.2 Evaluate own development needs and the activities required to meet them
As a student of information technology industry. The future will become a professional programmer. Should the tools needed to support the personal growth I am. I'm pretty bad at reading E-book, so I need to hone English capital, searching in libraries, bookstores, internet and many books in English, from which poor vocabulary will become rich to me can read well the specialized books. Must learn special vocabulary of specialized, to be able to easily analyze the problem in an E-book.
To become an IT professional I should be fluent in all programming languages. Nowadays companies often recruit very high demand for qualified manpower, requires newly graduated students should have qualifications and solid expertise. So is the university environment, I need to try, practice more, the study found many different programming direction.
After cultivating enough knowledge, I also need to train themselves, through the soft skills. Students today often have graduated concept is to get the "degree" is enough, but I think the concept is so wrong. Qualification is only a tool, what is important is that we can do a good job not assigned, how to communicate, how to behave with people not being comfortable. So to improve myself, I would need to participate in soft-skills classes.
1.3 Devise a personal and professional development plan based on identified needs Personal Development Plan
Target Action to Achieve Taget Day

-Practise skills learnt in practical’s from home -Research in my own time
-Purchase books outside of curriculum to improve my knowledge further
Ongoing throughout first year of study(2014-2017)
.Become more motivated to achieve good grade in my course
-Force self to attend all lectures and practical’s possible and to not give in to laziness
-Motivate self to complete work to good standard and on time -Research the subject in my own time
-Become more involved in course activities and group work
Ongoing throughout first year of study(2014-2017)
.Advanced knowledge of English majors
-Read more specialized books
-See a show about technology
-Join the specialized English classes
Ongoing throughout second year of study
(2015-2017)
.Improve soft skills -Join soft skills classes
-Join many social activities
Ongoing throughout third year of study
1.4 Reflect on own development against original aims and objectives set in the personal and professional development plan
According to the plan I have set out above. I feel this plan feasible table. If this plan is based on the implementation. Shall be calculated from the time of the year to at least graduate, all goals that I put out will be completed on schedule.
I just feel wrong in one place in this plan. I stay as improving the soft skills up to after graduation, the implementation will be more efficient. Because if this plan as far as improving the soft skills, I will carry out in the end. As last year, so I need to focus on knowledge, specialized learning more, to be a graduate thesis will be better, graduation is still the most important thing. If so I can change this plan. Improving the soft skills, I will move to the time after graduation, then any implementation will be simpler and more effective
TASK 3
3.1Discussing the roles people play in a team and how they can work together to achieve shared goals .What is the Working Group?
Group is not simply a gathering of people who work together or work under the guidance of a manager. Group is a collection of individuals who have the skills complement each other and responsible commitment to make a common goal. The team members interact with each other and with the leader to achieve common goals. The team members depend on each other's information to carry out its part. They work together to complete the task and depends on the leader to be providing resources, training as needed when needed as well as the coordination or associated with other departments within the organization. Contrary to the working group, where managers have full authority to make decisions, decisions reflect the group's know-how and experience of many people, this can lead to appropriate decisions, more accurate and objective .
A group can be formed in various ways: The study group has formed due to the designation of teachers, interest groups formed by the same enticement, and groups working in an agency, unit is due to the recruitment needs of these organizations. Therefore, there are groups formed and mounted a long time, but also the only group working together in a certain moment. But it is important, not groups also have the purpose or activities together.
A group of people working in the same office or even a joint project is not always carried out the work of a working group. If that group managed autocratic style, perhaps there will be no interaction involving the work between team members. If there is any ideological factions within the group, the group's activities will never be progress. Conversely, a working group was able to develop though the members are not working or living in an environment, a certain space.
To put it simply, the group worked as a team to create a spirit of cooperation, coordination and promotion know the advantages of the team members to work together to achieve the best result for the purposes for which the group fabricate.
The major role in a group:
.The leader of the group (Searching for new members and raise morale)
-Great sense of energy and personality of the group members. -Good at finding ways to overcome the weaknesses.
-Capable of bidirectional notice.
-Knowing create atmosphere of excitement and optimism in the group.
.The Person comments (Monitoring and analyzing the long-term effectiveness of the group):
-Never satisfied with the inefficient policies. -Analyst solutions to see the weaknesses in it. -Always require the revision of the cons. -Creating the feasibility of revising.
.Additional person (Ensure smooth operation group):
-Think methodically to set the time.
-Unforeseen delays in hazardous work schedule in order to avoid them. -Intellectual resources and the desire to rectify the matter.
-Able to support and overcome defeatist properties.
.The trader (Create relationships outside the group):
-People with diplomacy and good judgment of the needs of others. -Cause is peace of mind and understanding.
-Panoramic adequately capture the group's activities. -Maturity when handling information, reliable.
.The dispatcher (Entice people to work together under the plan links):
-Understanding the difficult tasks related to internal. -Sensing priorities.
-Having the ability to grasp the issues at once. -Talented solve the trouble.
.Participants opinions (Maintaining and encouraging innovation vitality of the entire group):
-Always optimistic opinions, lively, exciting.
-Looking forward to listening to the opinions of others.
-Looking at problems as opportunities promising innovation is not the disaster
.The supervisor (Guaranteed to maintain and pursue high standards) -Always hope for promising suggestions.
-Seriously, sometimes to appear pedantic and standards. -Good judgment on the results of the work of the people. -Do not hesitate bring the matter.
-Capable of working and finding merit errors.
3.2 discuss alternative ways to complete tasks and achieve team goals Promote effective working groups:
Platform to build an effective working group is trust and respect trong.Hay Remember, the head did not win the respect the other members of the group also vay.Vay Where are the elements to create should a team to work effectively?
1.Progress on common objectives, clear:
Teamwork means together toward a common goal, and strive to find success on the job. The team members must understand the goals of the group and is committed to trying to achieve that goal. If the goal is quite clear and you get the commitment of all team members, you will have the right to reward or punish the team members as needed. The team members need to strive for themselves and for the common work. You have to motivate them to try to complete the plan short term and long term. Together towards a specific goal, gradually the staff will work according to the rules with a self-conscious spirit. In addition, the pressure of work and the personal pride appears little chance of sabotage teamwork.
Clearly shows the long-term plan that his team was in charge. As a manager, you must constantly remind and strengthen their spirit together towards these goals. In the course of work, many employees often dominated and focused on immediate issues while ignoring the long-term plan. When some members being deflected, the rest go to help them keep up the work process to avoid problems later.
2.Clearly define the skills and responsibilities of each member.
When shaking hands, building a team, if you have many choices, the assessment of the strengths and weaknesses of each employee is an effective way to form a group of employees based on skills elements. Around you there are always good people, be careful not to feel overwhelmed subjective result in you choosing the members of the group because of similarities with you, even it is your copies.
You need to clearly define roles and responsibilities of each member of nhom.Day the key issues affecting the success or failure of a team in the division work. Know clearly, limits on executive power and his time in the group will help people work together more easily. Encourage teamwork by dividing specific tasks clearly. In this way, each member will easily recognize their responsibilities, they even can promote the skills inherent to the responsibilities and expectations viec.Trach with each member of the group must be indicated clear, public notice and are all members admitted. Responsibility should be discussed openly and questions have been answered satisfactorily.
3. To ensure the development and adhere to the principles of teamwork. For effective team work, obey the following rules:
• Be on time, it helps the other members of the working group did not take the extra time to repeat what you discussed. Always set goals of the discussions leading up to avoid talking about unrelated topics, causing thinning topic, lack of concentration.
• Think of yourself as part of a group rather than a single individual. Discuss with the whole group, not just the person sitting next to you. Be clear and concise. Always be aware that you are using the time of everyone.
• Do not interrupt others. Listen and try to understand them. Also do not think about is going to present her, please pay attention to what others say. If anything is unclear, ask again when they finish.
• Let's unite to achieve common goals. No one has full knowledge of any problems, just as they contributed was more or less alone. Please convince people with arguments and evidence, not by emotion.
• Do not criticize. Do not oppose the opinion of others even though you may find it impractical to where. Also do not mount the individual with their opinions, discuss the comments just stop, do not criticize anyone own.
• Keep in mind that the end result is gained broad consensus of the group, including individual consulting rejected. This can not quickly achieve that right takes time.
• Each person must take responsibility for work assigned and completed on time.
• Working together like puzzle pieces in each puzzle. In it, each member is a puzzle piece. If members work responsibly and effectively, the pieces will fit, form a beautiful picture. In contrast, the picture will become "ugly" over.
• Do not force your employees to work and solve tasks in a certain pattern. Let them identify ways to collaborate with each other forms. Be more flexible about work hours. You will see increased work efficiency surprise and does not depend on whether they can come and exactly as the clock on the provisions of the company. Flexibility in how management is an important factor to make a success of a team.
4. Promote the dedication of the members
For effective teamwork, it is important to make the dedication to the work of the team members. These methods build devotion that may be the following factors:
• Always encouragement: Inviting the participation and contribution of everyone in every specific case. Encouraging them to learn new skills as necessary to promote the strengths of each. Called for a sense of responsibility in each member. Get to know the advantages of each individual and are ready to support where necessary.
• To promote team spirit: Regular organization of collective activities. Reward achievement of a general rather than specific individuals. In the work environment would also have outstanding staff. However, you should keep it for their own recognition. Do not express or praise him as an example for everyone to follow. Immediately remove personal selfishness at work. Always determine power teamwork, appreciated the successes as well as the dedication of all the team members bring to the company.
• Nurturing eagerness, enthusiasm: You may not have known, enthusiastic fervor of this very affecting the other. You need to realize this and to arouse should capture the enthusiasm for the whole team. Like, you put trust in their colleagues, they will not do you have to be disappointed.
• Create a fun atmosphere: collective strengths can bring unexpected effect, you make time for your employees to relax and share the joy together. You can join them for lunch or chatting a few beers after work. Encouraging the fun during the holidays to help members more and more friendly with each other. Then, each person in your group will feel all they are the indispensable individuals of a group, they will feel comfortable and more engrossed in work.
5. Identify the most important thing in the present time.
Leader is always the direction of its members on the most important things to create a group cong.Truong also always eliminate unnecessary activities and is for the party based avoid distraction from party out.
6. Develop a common spirit for the group.
No one is entirely owned a sewing range or in the process of doing both. Those who truly master the position or a certain process is often very open, always willing to absorb ideas and resources provided by others. The operator modeling teams through personal relationships with individuals and with other parts of the organization. They maintain the team even when things are progressing trend seems misleading and temptations people return to routine work that had been threatened. The members of the company to discuss and determine the cultural value of the team.
Teamwork is always work to be recognized and appreciated. The lonely wanderer, whether there is an outstanding manufacturer to how absurd it was rated lower than the personal achievement along with many others. The compensation, bonuses and rewards ... depend on the actual level of cooperation as well as contributions and achievements of each individual nhan.Nhung issues and important research is discussed in the company emphasize team activities. (You may remember the year, a production team surrounded the cork has reduced by 20% the amount of waste you? people who work well and never again was promoted to members of this team) .There management structure works very focused and evaluate nhom.Thuong team feedback, the unity of the whole system; all the feedback from peers, direct reports from the leadership and have strong implications for the conduct of your work.
7. Conflict resolution and conflict:
The leaders often raise the question of how to solve matters including internal conflict situations. However, they rarely require
feedback on why conflicts arise and what they can do to prevent and control it. Pulse cascade conflict is a process in which one party realizes that its interests in opposition to others, or affected negatively by other parties.
The conflict can occur when there are opposing views from one person to another. Although conflict is a regular occurrence in our relations and it will be a healthy relationship if addressed in a good way, sometimes the conflict to escalate and cause disruption.
We often have strong emotions when the conflict began tensions. For many, it's hard to keep the mind awake while being strong emotions. Also very difficult to listen to the other person's perspective. Some certain "win at all costs". Others wanted to retreat and evade, physically or / and mentally. This is normal when people react differently in conflict - often due to certain influence of the way we have been educated from childhood. However, there is a general tendency when faced with conflict, is our way of speaking that can damage all. When the conflict has strained to the extent that virtually no longer can you think of the other person's perspective. It's time to turn to a third party, such as a counselor or a mediator.
TASK 4
4.1 Review tools and methods for developing solutions to problems
Have you ever encountered a problem can not be solved forever? Whatever you do, sooner or later this issue will return, perhaps in a different form only.
The lingering problems occur repeatedly and is often a sign of more serious problems. A measure of "rapid Fire" looks okay, but it's really only a temporary solution and can only solve part of the problem.
To solve the problem properly, you need to look deep into the symptoms to seek potential causes inside. This article refers to methods of Sakichi Toyoda 5 whys, a simple tool but very effective help quickly detect the root of a problem that you can solve it stopped once.
INTRODUCTION OF TOOLS
Sakichi Toyoda, one of the fathers of the industrial revolution in Japan, has developed this method in 1930. He was a factory owner, inventor and founder of Toyota Industries. His method has become popular throughout the 1970s and today Toyota continues to use it to solve problems.
Toyota has a philosophy is "go and see". This means that the decision is based on a deep understanding of the processes and conditions at the factory, not just based on what a person sitting on the office contemplated.
5 Whys method right with this tradition, and it is most effective when the answers came from people with practical experience in the implementation process of being tested. This method is quite simple: when a problem occurs, you discover the nature and origin of it by asking "why," not less than five times
Here is an example of the analysis 5 whys as a technique to solve the problem effectively:
1. Why do our customers are not satisfied? Because we did not provide timely service as we promised.
2. Why are we unable to meet the contractual terms of time or delivery schedule? Because we think it does not take up so much time.
3. Why do we take longer than expected? Because we do not appreciate the complexity of the job.
4. Why do we underestimate the complexity of the job? Because we had rushed to estimate the time needed to complete the work, while not list the specific period to complete the project.
5. Why do we not do that? Because we are running other projects. Obviously, we need to reconsider their time planning and a full description of the important stages.
Why use the "5 whys"?
5 Whys is a simple technique used to solve the problem, to help users quickly find the true root. Popularized in the 1970s by the Toyota Production System, 5 whys strategy is to consider any problem and ask: "Why?", "What causes this problem?" Often the answer to the question "why" first will elicit the answer to the question "why" Monday, then the third and so on. Therefore new strategies name 5 Whys
Benefits of the 5 Whys include:
• Quickly identify the root causes leading to the problem • Easy to learn and easy to apply
4.2 Develop an appropriate strategy for resolving a particular problem
Usually to solve a problem, basically have the following steps: 1. Recognize and analyze:
Before you try to find a way to solve the problem, you should look into it really a matter literally or not, by asking yourself: what would happen if ...?; or suppose as this is not done, then ...? You should not waste time and effort to resolve if it is likely to disappear or not important.
2. Identify the owner of the problem:
Not all the issues that affect you are by yourself resolved. If you do not have the authority or capacity to solve it, it is best to move on to the issues that may be resolved. There is a saying half jokingly but is worth a note: "Enthusiastic plus sometimes a lack of understanding of sabotage".
3. Understand the problem:
The understanding of the source of the problem will be easy to resolve discrepancies, or the problem repeats itself. If speaking the language of medicine, the "catch the wrong disease," they only treat the symptoms, not cure, sometimes "money lost, disabilities bring." You should take the time to get the relevant information needed to solve the problem, according to the following suggestions: Briefly describe the problem; it has caused impact ?; Where problems occur ?; The first time it was discovered that when ?; There is nothing special or different in this regard does not?
Here we need to understand the problem by asking questions. - The nature of the problem (urgent and important)?
- Require directives of superiors is what? - Resources to solve the problem?
- This issue belongs to settle his or not? - The nature of the problem is what? - The demands of the problem?
- The degree of difficulty - easy of the problem? 4. Select the solution:
Once you've figured out the root of the problem, the management will come up with many solutions to choose from. Creative elements will help managers find solutions than expected sometimes. It should be noted that an optimal solution must satisfy three elements: effective remedy to solve the problem long-term, feasible, and effective.
5. Implement the solution:
When you believe that you have to understand the problem and how to solve it, you can embark on action. To ensure these solutions are implemented effectively, managers need to determine who is involved, who is responsible for implementing the solution, the time to implement is how long, available resources ..
6. Evaluation:
After you have put in place a solution, you need to check whether it has good resolution and do not lead to unexpected effects do not. The lessons learned at the stage of this review will help you lose a lot of "gray matter calories" and resources on other issues later.
You might feel a little cumbersome if you follow the above steps. Everything is starting nan. First apply a new skill always requires patience and your determination. If you exercise regularly, then gradually problem-solving skills will become unconditional reflex.
After you have put in place a solution, you need to check whether it has good resolution and do not lead to unexpected effects do not. The lessons learned at the stage of this review will help you lose a lot of "gray matter calories" and resources on other issues later.
4.3 Evaluate the potential impact on the business of implementing the strategy
The strategy will influence and affect all business processes of the enterprise. Adjusted to suit system requirements. The staff will be reduced and replaced: for all the operators will be processed quickly, accurately and efficiently on your computer. So employees do not use computers will be replaced with new ones. The new system will generate many new tools such as bar codes, technical tools, to help customers effectively use and easy. Efficiency in every aspect. Make a new lifestyle for our customers, from superiors to subordinates. Revenue and profits will certainly increase rapidly.
