PRODUCT CATALOGUE

Oil processing is one of the oldest industries in the Czech lands and PARAMO proudly carries on this tradition of more than a hundred years. The tradition is also inherently connected with the history of the MOGUL brand, which has become synonymous with the word „oil“ in the Czech lands over the course of the many years that customers have been encountering it on the Czech market. Despite the successful history of MOGUL oils, the best known of them being SUPER MOGUL in its distinctive golden tin, history is not what determines the present character of oils from the Pardubice refinery. It is principally our up-to-date technologies, research and development. The current MOGUL oils not only stand up to comparison with top-quality oils of other renowned manufacturers but their parameters even outperform them in various aspects. The mixing plant in the Kolín centre ranks among the most modern in Europe. Use of high-quality base oils, their improvement with additives from globally renowned companies, up-to-date production facilities with automatic process control and in-house qualified research and development of new lubricant formulations ensure that all of the extensive group of MOGUL lubricating agents meet, and also in the future will meet, the requirements of the most demanding customers. In addition to the standard lubricants, PARAMO also offers a wide range of industrial lubricants, which comply with the ever more challenging requirements of modern industrial equipment. MOGUL oils are developed to operate both under standard conditions and in demanding modes or environments with higher operating temperatures, higher pressures or higher demands on oil fill purity. Our special environmentally friendly degradable oils are designed for agricultural machines or for timber harvesting. Our motor oils fully meet the enhanced demands on extended usable life that both manufacturers and users of gasoline engines and diesel engines make on the Pardubice refinery.

Oils for mobile machinery are a very important group of lubricating oils, intended mainly for operation of movable (mobile) equipment. They are usually simply called automotive oils but the scope of their application is far from being limited to lubrication of automobiles – they are used for lubricating earth moving and building machines, agricultural machines, forest machines, and a whole range of other machinery and equipment. According to the specific intended application they are usually divided into motor oils, gear oils and oils for other applications.

7 AUTOMOTIVE ENGINE OILS

Oils for Gasoline and Diesel Engines in Passenger Cars and Commercial Vans

They are manufactured from mineral, high-tech hydrokracked or synthetic oil bases (or their blends) improved with a complex of carefully chosen additives with exceptional performance (oxidation and corrosion preventives, detergent/dispersant additives etc.). They are suitable for lubrication of gasoline and diesel engines with heavy to extreme demands on oil performance, equipped with catalytic converters; they guarantee safe year-round operation („all-season“ oils). The oils in viscosity classes SAE 0W-X and 5W-X (pertinently also SAE 10W-X) enable trouble-free operation of engines even at extra low temperatures and positively affect fuel economy.

Oils for Hydrodynamic Mechanisms

Mineral and high-tech hydrorkacked base oils improved with a complex of efficient additives (antioxidant, rust inhibitor or friction modifier etc.), which meet specific requirements of hydrodynamic systems. They are used as working fluids for selected types of hydrodynamic clutches, converters and gearboxes in some trucks, buses, building machinery and so on.

Note: This application group also includes the hydraulic oil MOGUL HL 22 listed in the Industrial (Hydraulic) Oils category, which is used for some hydrodynamic gears (e.g. gears in rail vehicles etc.).

EASILY BIODEGRADABLE OILS (ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY)

Category of products manufactured on both a vegetable and synthetic basis, which are easily biodegradable and non-toxic. They are intended for lubrication of machinery and equipment operating in environments where contamination with petroleum products must be avoided – protected landscape areas etc. In the Czech Republic, obligatory use of the oils of this category for lubrication of machinery working in the mentioned areas is prescribed by Act No. 289/1995 on Forestry (Art. 32).

Biodegradable Hydraulic Oils

MOGUL HEES

MOGUL HEES oils are manufactured from synthetic esters; the natural properties of the used base oils are further improved with suitable carefully chosen additives (against oxidation, corrosion, for reducing wear, improving low-temperature performance etc.). The oils are designed for hydrostatic systems operating in environmentally protected areas where potential contamination with petroleum products must be avoided and where oils with special characteristics are required – i.e. easily biodegradable fluids. They are most frequently used as working media in mobile hydraulic systems (building, agricultural, forestry and other machinery).

MOGUL HEES 46 - for heavy-duty hydrostatic systems in machinery and equipment with year-round operation (temperatures up to 95 ˚C), where a similar lifetime is expected as in the case of petroleum oils of the HV or HM categories

Biodegradable Gear Oils

They are manufactured from a mixture of high-quality synthetic esters. They contain additives increasing pressure resistance of the lubricating film, oxidation and corrosion preventives, viscosity index modifiers and anti-foaming agents. They are used for lubrication of mechanical gears (gearboxes with manual or other shift, axle drives) in automobiles and other mobile machinery, particularly when easy biodegradability of the used oil is required.

MOGUL FORCUT and MOGUL CF oils are manufactured from high-quality redistilled hydrogenates and suitable improving additives, MOGUL GR 5 is manufactured from high-quality low-viscosity hydrocrack bases and efficient additives, MOGUL MS is refined petroleum oil improved with additive enhancing adhesion and strength of the lubricating layer (vegetable oil). They are used as auxiliary agents in metalworking.

Lubricating greases are products manufactured from mainly mineral base oils thickened with soaps of some metals (usually alkali metals and alkaline-earth metals) – simple or complex (kx) – or other non-soap thickeners. To enhance their performance they are further improved with efficient additives or suitable solid lubricants (so-called fillers). They are divided into several categories and subcategories by the main applications or by their typical properties.

Greases for Mobile Machinery and Equipment

Products in this category are used for lubrication of friction contacts in automobiles, earth moving machinery and other equipment. They are often used in some industrial applications.
