Mission: The University was established in 1962 originally to train graduate professional teachers for Ghana's second cycle institutions as well as the Ministry of Education. Today, in addition to the above, the University offers a wide range of academic programmes in the Arts, Education, Social Sciences, Sciences, Business, Agriculture and Medicine.
