Emneevaluering
Evaluation will be carried out by using Classfronter. Innhold
The students are to participate in recreation based activities such as excursions and field trips and get acquainted with characteristic landscape forms and types of outdoor activities through own active participation and subject development.
Every student has to reflect on those adventure experiences from his/her own academic starting point, and write an essay seeing his/her experience in relation to the knowledge the student has developed through previous experience. For example a student of nursing can connect experience to a public health improvement perspective, a student of tourism to ecological or geo-tourism, and a teacher training student to outdoor- based teaching.
The students will participate in different field-trips: A come-together tour
Sea-rafting in the Saltenfiord and Saltstraumen-maelstrom A field trip from Bodø to Engabreen-glacier focusing on

Innhold
Språk/Language:
Through experience at galleries and museums, and through meetings with active artists and art and culture presenters, the students will gain knowledge of Northern Norwegian art and culture. To strengthen the experiences there will be focused on making drawings and paintings during field trips. The art of Landart, where we use nature as one part of creating cultural art, will be a part of the module. The students don't have to be skilled artists to join this part of the course. The art and culture experience the participants obtain through their studies is to be further developed by writing an essay and by creating, in a group or by the student, himself, an art expression about the impressions. The students will get instructions in how to write essays and how to create art expressions.
In the literature part, the students will be introduced to Northern Norwegian literature, particularly literature written of Knut Hamsun. Hamsun is famous for his descriptions of the Northern Norwegian landscape in general, ans especially the landscape of Nordland. The students will, through the reading of Hamsuns novels, lectures and essay writing, gain consciousness about how adventures and experiences of nature can reach a higher level through literature.
