Bring Your Purpose. Find Your Path.

Regis College celebrates diversity and welcomes the world to our

campus by fostering a commitment to global education opportunities. The enrollment and support of students from around the world, study abroad and exchange programs, an internationalized curriculum and hosting of visiting scholars all come together to enhance global perspectives by helping students, faculty and staff alike to gain exposure to and understand varying cultures in a context of community and world citizenship.

Regis College’s School of Nursing, Science, and Health Professions is one of just 16 schools in America to be recognized as a Center of Excellence in Nursing Education by the National League for Nursing.

Nationally-Recognized

Programs

Having served at Regis for over twenty-five years, I have seen our gradu-ate programs grow by leaps and bounds—in size, in scope, and in value. Regis College has always been student-centered and, now, as the tenth president of the College, I see more great things ahead as that focus guides our development of future graduate offerings. We make our deci-sions “through the lens of the student” as well as the realities of knowl-edge and the globalized community when we determine what will benefit our students the most as part of their graduate school experience.

I am passionate about Regis College and I am passionate about graduate education. The students and the positive impact of our mission on them through dedicated faculty and staff truly energize me. While everyone talks about excellence, Regis has envisioned and implemented ways to achieve it, with gentleness, in the spirit of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Boston who founded the College. Their emphasis on truth, service, social justice and responsiveness to the needs of all has woven the fabric of this institution, and these are the themes that inform my work as President.

Graduate ofUniversidade GamaFilho, Brazil

At Regis, graduate students learn by doing. Graduate programs in Health Administration, Communication, Nursing, Education, and Regulatory and Clinical Research Management offer students the opportunity to complete a field experience or practicum in the related field to gain real world experience. Field experiences provide networking opportunities with industry professionals and the potential for securing a job after graduation. Field experiences frequently take place in and around the Boston area.

The result? Our graduates have secured jobs throughout Massachusetts and the United States, at organizations and educational institutions including Schwartz Communication, Lahey Clinic, the American Red Cross, Tufts University, Boston Medical Center, Joslin Diabetes Center, Boston Scientific and Genzyme.

Globally Connected

Regis College is a student-centered community. We are infinitely proud of our diverse student body, and we continue to provide our students with the highest quality of support and education on all levels. Our Office of Graduate Affairs works to both ensure that international students are integrated into our community and that our domestic students are exposed to a multicultural presence on campus. In the process, all graduate students have access and opportunity to engage in a variety of global experiences throughout their study.

n Graduate Student International Potluck Dinner

At the annual Graduate Student International Pot-luck Dinner, students are encouraged to bring a food dish that represents something about themselves: their homeland, hometown, heritage, or favorite flavor. The dinner provides an ideal opportunity for graduate students to meet one another outside of class and to share a bit about their cultural background.

n Peru Service Trip

Graduate students have the opportunity to join a week long service trip to Peru over spring break. Throughout the week in Villa El Salvador, students, faculty and staff gain a sense of connection with Peruvian community and an exposure to another culture and country.

n Tournées French Film Festival

For many years, Regis has hosted the Tournées French Film Festival, which represents the best of contemporary French cinema. Films span generational and geographic borders, offer a range of genres and subjects, and showcase innovations in both style and storytelling. 2012 festival films included The Artist, Potiche, 17 Filles, Romantiques Anonyme and Copie Conforme,

directed by Persian director Abbas Kiarostami.

CLINTON BUSH HAITI FUND BOOSTS REGIS COLLEGE HAITI PROJECT

The Clinton Bush Haiti Fund has announced a nearly half-million-dollar grant to Regis College to educate faculty at six Haitian nursing schools. The $463,000 grant was made to Regis’ Haiti Project to assist in providing 24 Haitian educators with master’s degrees in nursing. These nurses, in turn, will be able to pass that education along to 1,650 students each year. The program has a multiplier effect on Haiti by sustaining nursing jobs, promoting healthcare standards, and transforming the health sector, all while filling a need for skilled Haitian health workers.

Best of Both Worlds

From the moment you turn into the long, tree-lined driveway, you sense that Regis College is a special place where you can experience the best of both worlds—the tradition of a small college environment with close access to big city life. Our beautiful, 132-acre campus in suburban Weston, Massachusetts is located only 12 miles from the center of Boston, one of the best social, cultural and sporting cities in America.

In addition, Regis prides itself on being a peaceful community, where many factors combine to provide a secure and safe campus environment for our students.
