W
e invite you to a national conference on Extraordinary Ophthalmology to be held in
Madison, Wisconsin on September 10, 2010. Nationally renowned guest speakers will
complement University of Wisconsin faculty in presenting interesting topics, ranging from
advances in clinical practice to the frontiers of vision science. The goal is to make this an exciting
conference for clinicians and scientists involved in ophthalmology and vision science where one
will learn about the latest innovations that are shaping or will shape our practice and research
directions in the future. There will be extensive time for discussion, including a “Lunch with the
Experts” forum, reception and casual dinner with your colleagues following the conference.
Fall is a wonderful time to visit Madison. Think college football on a sunny Saturday afternoon.
On Saturday, September 11, 2010 the UW football Badgers will be playing San Jose State
University in Madison’s Camp Randall. We have secured a limited number of tickets and invite
you to purchase tickets and join the Extraordinary Ophthalmology group at the UW football
game (see registration form for details). Madison also boasts one of the 10 best farmer’s markets
in the country – open Saturday morning on the Capitol Square.
In addition to the scientific program, you may enjoy some of the sights that Southern Wisconsin
offers such as Frank Lloyd Wright’s Taliesin, in Spring Green, or the Wisconsin Dells on the
Wisconsin River along the picturesque sandstone bluffs. Registration includes all conference
materials, lunch and a relaxing dinner on Friday, September 10th, at Fluno Center for Executive
Education in Madison.
