If your 1st year service is carried out by an alternative GAS SAFE registered company then your boiler is only protected by the manufacturers comprehensive warranty and is only valid if the appliance has been serviced prior to this period and registered on your boiler log book. Should your boiler develop a fault -contact your local manufacturer call centre. This will be located on the front of your boiler or can be obtained from CHP on the above number.

Please fill in and return the guarantee registration form. This helps to ensure you receive prompt and efficient service in the unlikely event your boiler or installation should require attention during the guarantee or warranty period.

We doubt if it crosses your mind very often but you constantly rely on your boiler more than any other appliance in your home. Unfortunately even the finest of engineered products develop a fault at some stage in their lifetime.

HomePlatinum 1 protects your existing boiler against breakdown providing fully comprehensive parts and labour warranty including an annual service and safety check.

HomePlatinum 2 provides you with all the benefits of HomePlatinum 1 plus breakdown protection of the the associated controls, radiators, hot water and pipe work.

HomePlatinum 3 provides your new boiler with an annual service and safety check for the duration of the manufacturers 5 year warranty (not available on boilers with 2 year warranty).

HomePlatinum 4 provides you with all the benefits of HomePlatinum 3 plus breakdown protection of the associated controls, radiators, hot water and pipe work. (not available on boilers with 2 year warranty). CP12Platinum Service Cover is required for landlords or managing agents. This provides a gas safety inspection & certificate which is legally required to rent the property. This option is only available with any of the above HomePlatinum packages. (see overleaf for summary of cover).

If you choose our PLATINUM PROTECTION Service Cover, each year you renew, one of our fully trained service engineers or an allocated registered GAS SAFE approved installer will contact you

automatically and arrange a full boiler service and gas safety inspection. In accordance with the manufacturers specifications and 1998 gas regulations.

If you ring before midday we can normally attend the next day at the latest. We guarantee that your boiler will be fixed after the first visit or you can claim £10 compensation from Combined Heat & Power Ltd.

Combined Heat & Power Ltd hold public liability insurance of up to £5,000,000. In most cases your PLATINUM PROTECTION Service Cover will automatically continue for the useful life of your boiler.

PLATINUM PROTECTION Service Cover

protection only costs as little as £13 a month which you can spread over the year by STANDING ORDER Debit at no extra charge - but also benefit from an easy & convenient way to pay.

We will cover any boiler and system as long as it is properly designed and in good working order and replacement parts are available prior to inspection. We reserve the right to refuse acceptance on certain boiler manufacturers and non compliant installations.

To ensure the continued safe and efficient operation of your boiler it is recommended that it is serviced and checked at regular intervals. The frequency of servicing will depend upon the particular installation conditions and usage, but in general once per year should be adequate.

The Service consists of:

Removal and cleaning of main burner assembly and pilot burner assembly where appropriate.

Checking correct operation of gas governor, where appropriate.

Computerised flue gas analyse with print out of boiler combustion and performance tests (Condensing boilers only).

Checking main heat exchanger flueways and cleaning if necessary.

Checking flue duct and terminal. Checking expansion vessel.

Checking operation of diaphragm sections and replace if necessary.

Cleaning of lint arrestor, where appropriate.

Re-pressurise and purge air from appliance where necessary.

Check and adjust gas rate if necessary.

Check overall appliance function. Carry out mandatory gas safety checks.

Check appliance for gas soundness.

Check water flow rate and temperature rise.

The service package includes sundries such as special lubricants, expansion vessel refill and washers, etc.

The above procedures are not applicable to all appliances.

NOTE:- It is law that all servicing work is carried out by a competent person (GAS SAFE registered).

Summary of Cover

BOILER COVER

You will be covered against the cost of repairs to your boiler (including all component parts within) and normal working hour labour costs. You will also receive an annual boiler service and gas safety inspection. SYSTEM COVER

As Boiler Cover plus associated controls, radiators, hot water and pipe work (excluding energy management systems & system power flush).

The policy does not cover the cost of replacement or repair where the boiler is beyond economical repair or failure caused by external public services to the property or contaminated water due to insufficient treatment. Our total liability during any one period of insurance shall not exceed £750 including parts, labour and V.A.T. Complaints Procedure

Full details of exclusions and conditions will be sent when you purchase a policy but a specimen of the policy can be obtained on request. Copies of any correspondence relating to this application should be kept by the proposer. A copy of the accepted

application form is available for up to three months after its completion.

Purchasing a PLATINUM PROTECTION Service Cover Extended Warranty and Breakdown Insurance Policy does not limit your protection under the manufacturer’s guarantee, nor does it affect your statutory rights.

This scheme has been set up and designed for your convenience to spread your warranty premiums over 12 monthly payments, therefore helping to keep the cost within your family budget.

We want you to relax, let us take control, giving you peace of mind that you will never be left without heating and hot water or faced with unexpected and expensive repair bills.

Therefore it is essential you keep up payments on your insurance warranty. Failure to do so may invalidate the policy or delay the response call out time and annual boiler service and safety inspection.

Combined Heat & Power Ltd take no responsibility for missed or late payments, or do we inform you of this. We give you the choice of either the beginning or the end of the month for your standing order debit to be deducted if payments are not kept up Combined Heat & Power Ltd reserve the right not to refund payments already made. Therefore it is essential that funds are always available on these dates and we advise you to regularly check your bank statements. The premium will be collected over 12 months commencing

approximately one month after receipt of the completed application. On expiry of the initial period the renewal premiums will automatically be deducted on a monthly basis unless otherwise instructed.
