POWDER COAT COLOR
The Architectural Brands of Hydrel, Mark Architectural Lighting, Peerless, and Winona
have united to offer RAL CLASSIC colors as standard. RAL is recognized as one of the
most popular color standards used in our industry with over 200 colors available. We are
confident these selections will provide an additional complement to our existing standard
finishes to meet most opportunities.
The electrostatically applied/oven baked polyester powder coat process provides a very
durable finish with great reliability for both interior and exterior applications. The colors
are representative of a polyester TGIC formula to enhance the weather-resistance of the
finish. All featured colors are available smooth or textured. For the smooth finishes, a gloss
level can be selected from either a high gloss (level 85+), semi-gloss (level 30-40), or matte
(level less than 30) finish. (Gloss level according to Gardner 60 deg., ASTM D 523).
To order a RAL finish, call out the color, texture and gloss level per the guide below:
RALxxxxM = smooth matte (less than 30 gloss level)
RALxxxSG = smooth semi-gloss (30-40 gloss level)
RALxxxxG = smooth gloss (85+ gloss level)
RALxxxxT = textured (20-40 gloss level)

Projects where a RAL number is selected will be activated to the factory as a standard
product. Colors will be ordered to the definition and standardization of the color
shades represented. It is recommended that Hydrel products only use textured paint.
