1 Launch downloaded executable file and follow the installation instructions 2 The default data directory is C:\Users\{username}\Documents\SkillCreator\

3 User data will not be removed if the application is reinstalled without an uninstallation.

3 Functionality

Create skill blocks

Skill Creator is a tool which extends the usability of Wizard. It allows advanced users to create their own skill blocks. The customized blocks can be exported into controller, and hence be loaded in Wizard. The customized blocks can be used in the same way as Wizard built-in blocks. The roundtripping of the customized block is also supported, which means RAPID can be converted to corresponding customized blocks.

A block can be created easily in following steps:

1 Create a category.

2 Create block(s) in the category.

3 For each block:

(1) Define the block appearance by setting instruction/routine name in RAPID, block content and parameters.

(2) Define generator by providing RAPID syntax 4 Save.

5 Export to controller.

Limitations

1 The multiple language support is not applied to customized blocks. The customized blocks will be displayed in the same language as the creation in both Skill Creator app and Wizard app.

4 In current version, a procedure/instruction/routine could only map to one block. For example, Wizard has a block for MoveL which only uses mandatory arguments. Then, a user created a new block for MoveL which uses some optional parameters. When Wizard is launched and all blocks are loaded, the system will only recognize the user defined block and map it to MoveL instruction.

5 The files that ends with .coblox in the directory

C:\Users\{username}\Documents\SkillCreator are not allowed to be renamed directly. They should be renamed in Skill Creator instead.

6 If users created a block that has a fixed parameter but use another value for that parameter in RAPID, the value in the RAPID will be overwritten to the defined fixed parameter value after applying changes in Wizard.
