Getting started
Payment Pebble™ home page prior to inserting your Payment Pebble™ into the audio jack of your
smartphone.
Hold your phone upright with the Payment Pebble on top and then press OK to start the audio test which will enable best communication between your smartphone and the Payment Pebble.
Keep your phone in the upright position while the audio test is being performed. The will take about 30 seconds.
You will note the Pebble screen rotating while the test is being performed.

Confirm that you have
watched the training video. Link your Payment Pebble™ to your merchant account.
NOTE: Your merchant account number would have been sent to you by SMS. If you have not received this SMS, please contact us on 0860 111 222 and confirm the mobile number used.
Getting started
Enter your merchant ID. Click on Get OTP (One-time-PIN).
A once-off OTP will be sent via SMS to your mobile number.
Enter the OTP received and select Next.
Create a supervisor name and PIN (any 4-digit PIN you wish to use). You will need this PIN to perform a refund transaction as well as to view more than the last 5 transactions on the “Transaction History” function. Existing merchants may select “Select existing supervisor” if a new supervisor is not required.

1. Open the Payment Pebble™ application. 2. Insert Payment
Pebble™.
1. Enter a reference number (any 10, alpha and/or numeric digits). This function can also be skipped by selecting “continue”.
Enter the amount and then press ENTER.
1. Enable the reference number function is required by selecting “About, Settings” and then enabling the button. This process only needs to be completed once. Follow the same process to disable the reference function again.
2. Press START TRANSACTION to begin a new transaction.

Entry method
Instructions for cardholders entering a PIN on your smartphone or tablet.A shuffled key pad will be displayed on the Payment Pebble screen.
Enter your first digit by pressing the position of your digit as displayed on the Payment Pebble screen on the smartphone or tablet screen.
NOTE, the key pad on the Payment Pebble screen will shuffle into new positions.
Select the position of your next digit, noticing the new position after each entry.
Continue until you have entered all your digits.
Once all your PIN's digits have been entered, select ENTER.

Payment is now authorized. Remove card and the Payment Pebble™ if no longer needed.
Enter an email address and/or mobile number to receive the proof of payment.
The cardholder can also choose not to receive a receipt.
Cardholder to confirm that no receipt is required.
View transaction history on your smartphone
1. Open the Payment Pebble™ application. 2. Insert Payment Pebble™.
Select transaction history to see all your previous transactions.
Select the transaction to view more details.
Only the last 5 transactions performed on the inserted Payment Pebble will be visible.
NOTE: Approved transactions are marked “green”. Declined transactions are marked “red”.

Receiving a messages from Absa via your Payment Pebble
Once you have received a message from Absa a grey block will appear on top of your merchant screen.
Press to view to open.
Select the message that you would like to read.
A message can be deleted by selecting “Do not show again”.
NOTE: Merchants with more than one Payment Pebble will have to delete the messages per Payment Pebble.
