John Sharkey BA(Econ) ACA

John is Director of Mercia’s Management Training Division and specialises in management and personal skills training for accountants in practice. He joined the Mercia consultancy team in 1998 and has built Mercia’s Management Training Division into one of the leading providers of management and personal skills training to the independent accountancy sector. His presentations are renowned for their energy, enthusiasm and practical relevance and for challenging participants to achieve their full potential.

Sally Hutchings BSc ACA

Sally is a senior training consultant within Mercia’s Management Training Division. She joined the Mercia lecturing team in 1992, having previously trained and qualified with Deloitte Touche. Sally specialises in helping others develop their communication and influencing skills and has the ability to develop a strong rapport with her audience, helping them learn quickly and effectively.

Michael Siviter CIMA AAT

Michael is a senior training consultant within Mercia’s Management Training Division. He joined the Mercia lecturing team in 2011, having previously been a lecturer with Kaplan Financial for four years. He qualified as an accountant with Rolls Royce, having started his finance career at an independent firm of accountants. Michael has an energetic and dynamic style which engages with his audience and maximises their learning and development.

Michael Greenhalgh

Michael has over 20 years’ experience as a learning and development consultant, as well as a successful track record leading teams in the retail sector. He has more recently been specialising in working within the professional services sector, specifically with the accountancy and legal professions in the areas of business development and personal resilience. He relishes working with people, as a coach, mentor and facilitator with a genuine desire to help people become the best that they can be.
