May the Jonang Dharma of the Omniscient Dharma King Pervade in all places and directions,

Never declining, but instead

Spreading and flourishing for all time!

KYAP SUM GYUR WA ME PI GE LEK DANG DON DAM TAK DEN PI PHUN TSHOK KYI NGE DON TEN PI DAK PO JO NANG PI TRIN LI DAR ZHING GI PI TA SHI SHOK

Through the goodness of the unchanging Three Jewels And the excellence of the truth of the eternal ultimate, May the activities of the great lord of the definitive Jonang Dharma

Auspicously spread and flourish!

DO DON THAR THUK ZHEN TONG WU MA DANG GYUD DON THAR THUK DOR JE NAL JOR GYI TA GOM DREL WI LAM GYI NE ZUNG TI CHÖ GO THA DAK SEL WAR SHE PAR SHOK

Through the ultimate meaning of the sutras, the Zhentong Middle Way;

And the ultimate meaning of the tantras, the Vajra Yogas;

May we give rise to the essential points of the path that joins the view with meditation.

May we completely clarify all gateways to this profound Dharma!

Due to the arrival of the Buddha in this world,

The presence of his teachings that clarify like a shining sun And the flourishing of the authentic lineage holders,

May the auspiciousness of the teachings remain for a long time!

OM AH HUNG HOH

Completely surrounded by snow mountains, in the middle of a hub of an eight petalled lotus, on top of Mount Kailasha, sits the

divinely built capital of Shambhala—Kalapa. Between the lakes of Manasarovar and White Lotuses, in the middle of the Malaya Grove, there abides the enlightened mandala. In all of the outer petals of the lotus, there are 96 million cities and so forth. Abiding in that sublime realm of mantra are the dharma kings and kalkis, the hosts of deities of primordial wisdom, the ninety six emanated kings and so forth. To all those worthy ones, I prostrate and go for refuge. By the power of making effort in these virtues, at the time of death, may I be reborn amidst the retinue of the Kalki King in glorious Shambhala and have the opportunity to accomplish the Kalachakra Dharma.

These praises which establish Shambhala were written by the monk Dolpopa.

GE WA DI YI LO BUR DRI MI TSHOK

SOK DAN THUR SEL TSA DANG LHAN CHIK TU JAM PAR NU PI THAP ZAP LA TEN NI

ZHEN CHOK DE SHEK NYING PO NYUR THOP SHOK

With these virtues, in reliance upon the profound methods With the power to destroy the collection of adventitious stains, As well as the channels of the life-force and downward-voiding winds,

May I quickly attain my buddha-nature, the sublime other Kalachakra!

This aspiration was written by the One Possessing the Four Reliances.

GANG DANG THRAD NA TEN GYI DE THROK PA SHE NYEN NGEN DANG LOK PI CHÖ LUK DANG DUD KYI PHO NYA DIK PI DROK NAM DANG

KED CHIK TSAM YANG THRAD PAR MA GYUR CHIK

Whoever I meet, may I never, even for instant,

Be influenced by those who steal eternal bliss such as Wicked teachers, mistaken spiritual traditions,

The messengers of Mara or negative companions.

GYAL WA SI JI DEN PI JIN LAP DANG KHOR DI GE WI TSA WA GANG CHI DANG DAK CHAK LHAK SAM NAM PAR KAR WI THÖ MON LAM GANG DAP NYUR DU DRUP PAR SHOK

By the blessings of the authentic victors and their children, Whichever roots of virtue exist in samsara and nirvana, And the power of our pure altruistic motivation,

May whichever prayers we offer be swiftly accomplished.

LEK PA KUN DANG TAK DU THRAD PA DANG NYE PA KUN DANG TAK TU DRAL WA DANG GANG SHI THAM CHED SHIN DU LEK PA DANG JI SAM THAM CHED YID ZHIN DRUP PAR SHOK

Always meeting with every excellence, Always free from every fault,

In whichever case, may everything be most excellent, And may all our wishes be accomplished.

PHEN DE JUNG WI NI CHIK PU TEN PA YUN RING NI PA DANG TEN PA DZIN PI KYE WU NI

KU TSHE ZHAP PAD TEN GYUR CHIK

The sole source giving rise to wellbeing and happiness, May the Dharma remain for a long time!

Great beings who hold this Dharma, May your lives be long and firm.

CHÖ NGA CHEN PO DRA YI NI

DUK NGEL SEM CHEN THAR GYUD SHOK KAL WA CHE WA SAM YI SU

CHÖ TON DZAD JING ZHUK GYUR CHIK

By the sound of this great Dharma drum,

May the sufferings of all sentient beings come to an end! By this inconceivable good fortune,

May these teachings be established and remain!

KON CHOK RIN CHEN SUM GYI JIN LAP DANG KAR CHOK GE WI THU DANG NU PA YI

GYAL WI TEN DZIN TSA WI LA MA NAM

KU TSHE RING ZHING TRIN LI GE GYUR CHIK

Through the blessings of the Three Jewels, The energy and power of their waxing virtues, Dearest root lama who holds the Victor's teachings,

LA MA KU KHAM ZANG WAR SOL WA DEP CHOK TU KU TSHE RING WOR SOL WA DEP TRIN LI DAR ZHING GE PAR SOL WA DEP

DAK LA MA DANG DREL WA MED PAR JIN GYI LOP

To the lama, I pray that you have excellent health. I pray that you may have a supremely long life. I pray that your enlightened activities flourish. Bless me to never be separated from you.

KYE WA KUN DU YANG DAK LA MA DANG DREL MED CHÖ KYI PAL LA LONG CHOD JING SA DANG LAM GYI YON TEN RAP DZOK NI DOR JE CHING GI GO PHANG NYUR THOP SHOK

In all my lives, may I never be separated from my precious lama, May I always enjoy the practice of the precious Dharma

And after completing all the qualities of the grounds and paths, May I quickly attain the state of Vajradhara.

RAP JAM KYIL KHOR KUN GYI TSO RIK KYI KHAP DAK DOR JE CHING TSHEN DEN TSA WI LA MA YI

ZHAP PAD YUN RING TEN GYUR CHIK

Lord of all the manifold mandalas,

Pervasive sovereign of all families, Vajradhara,

May the lotus of feet of you, the authentic root lama, Remain steadfast for a long time.

DU KYI KHOR LO LA MA YER MED LA GYU PI KYAP SOL DIR SAK RAP KAR THU SHAM BHA LA RU RIK DEN SI GYUR TI

TEN DRO YONG LA LAP CHEN PAN THOK SHOK

With faith in the inseparability of the Lama and Kalachakra, By the power of the virtues of going for refuge and making supplications,

May I become a child of the Kalki Kings of Shambhala and Bring magnificent benefit to the teachings and sentient beings.

The master of the secret doctrine is the liberating protector, Taranatha.

May their teachings blaze for a long time!

RANG NYID SA CHOK DAK PI ZHING DUN GYI NAM KHA JA ÖD LONG PAD KAR LA WI DEN TENG DU LA MA CHEN RE ZIK WANG ZHUK

This place itself a pure realm,

In the sky above, within a sphere of rainbow light, On top of a lotus and moon disc,

Abides the lama Avalokiteshvara.

KYON GYI MA GÖ KU DOK KAR DZOK SANG GYE KYI WU LA GYEN THUK JI CHEN GYI DRO LA ZIK CHEN RE ZIK LA SOL WA DEP

Undefiled by stains, body white in colour; His crown ornamented by the perfect buddhas. Looking on beings with the eyes of compassion, I pray to you Avalokiteshvara!

SHAM BHA LA YI JANG SEM RIK DEN TSÖ THUK KYED DZAM LING DZOK DEN NYI PI PAL NGÖN LA DIR DAK CHAK CHED TSAM KUN NYING TOP DAM JI PAL LA ROL NU SHOK

Through the profound aspirations of the bodhisattva kings of Shambhala,

May we manifest the glory of the second golden age in this world! May all of us dharma brothers and sisters

Come to enjoy the good fortune of our courage and commitment! If you wish to be more elaborate, you can also recite here other aspirations for the spread of the Jonang Dharma of Dolpopa and his disciples.

Great mind of love and wisdom, the most excellent treasury; Inexhaustible activities born from the god of gods;

Richness of vajra gentleness with supreme aspirations; I pay homage to the protected one with this name!

TSHAD MED KHYEN PI LO GYA KHA LI YANG ZAK MED MA DRI DRO KYI THIK LI DANG SAM MI KHYAP PI GYA TSO ROL WI NYEN YONG DZOK PAN DI TER LA SOL WA DEP

With immeasurable mind even more vast than space; Advice uncontaminated and distinct, like a clear drop; Dearest friend who plays in the inconceivable ocean; I pray to the treasury of perfect wellbeing and bliss!

DAK SOK KYE GU TEN DI DON CHEN CHIK DRUP LA KHOR LÖ GYUR GYAL SHE KYI NGANG KU TSHE YUND DRUNG CHÖ SU RAP TEN NI TRIN LI ÖD NGI DRÖ DANG DREN GYUR CHIK

Precious gem of the enduring bliss of all beings, Appearing in the form of a universal monarch,

May your life remain steadfast as the unchanging supreme! May your activities be accomplished with the speed of the five lights!

This prayer was written over fifty years ago by the Dung Dung Lama while meditating in his cave. It was finally revealed amidst miraculous conditions in the year 2020.
