Winter Workshop

This youth workshop includes

multiple fun, skill-building stations,

led by the 4-H Federation teen group.

Designed for ages 8 to 18, each

participant can:



Craft snowmen decorations



Solder a 4-H Blinky Badge



Bake and decorate gingerbread cookies



Construct a wooden tree decoration



Give back by creating watercolor cards

for a community service project

Join us on Saturday, Jan. 9th for the

2016 Bridge Busting Competition

sponsored by Fox Valley Family YMCA,

Rural King of Plano, and 4-H

This fun and challenging competition tests your

bridge-building prowess, and encourages math, engineering and

design skills! Bridges will be judged on both structural

strength and aesthetics.

Team categories include:

ď‚·

Youth teams (ages 10 and up)

ď‚·

Family teams including adults

ď‚·

School teams (5th to 12th grade)

Teams must have a minimum of 2 members. Youth participating in any category should be age 10 or older.

Packets include: contest rules,

general information about bridge

busting and project supplies.

A 4-H Special Interest Opportunity

Are you a dog lover? Do you

want to learn about dog training

and keeping your pet happy?

The Canine Connection

4-H Dog Club is for you!

This multi-week program features information on

dog behavior, care, feeding, dog breeds, sports,

careers and more. Members will learn to be

better trainers through fun, hands-on activities.

Curriculum fits 4-H Dog Project activities, Boy

Scout Dog Care Merit Badge Requirements and

Girl Scout Animal Helpers Badge requirements.

Leaders are volunteers from Lyons Township Dog

Training Club.
