Professional experience

Profile I am currently working in Italy for Makram Srl, a company that offers IT Management, Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery adding value services that focus on IBM Power Systems and IBM Storage platforms. My acquired skills allow to coveral several roles that goes from architect and discuss solutions to deliver and implement extreme solutions. I worked for IBM being devoted to RS/6000 and POWER systems since 18 years. I have been a Systems Product

Engineer for seven years, supporting various IBM organizations, Business Partners, and Technical Support Organizations. Later, I joined the IBM Technical Sales Support group in 2004 and have been certified as an IT Specialist in 2009 after I covered the role of IBM System Architect within the IBM Systems and Technology Group (STG), expanding my skill toward cross brand hardware and solutions. As Systems Architect in IBM General Business territories, I supported STG sales force and IBM Business Partners in Center and South Italy.

From 1996 to 2003, I used to be an IBM pSeries Systems Product Engineer, supporting Sales Organization in EMEA, Business Partners, Technical Support Organizations, and IBM Dublin Manufacturing.

Before 2004, I did several business trips in Austin, TX, to support US IBM Product Engineers and Developers before the General Availability of POWER processor-based systems. As Product Engineer, also, I went several time to Dublin ESG campus to support Manufacturing and Process Engineers during the peak of production.

I have in my score several physical on-site assistances in Europe and Middle East to close Critical Situations, playing the role of the brand resolution leader.

I am an active part of technical communities since I completed several residencies in Austin, TX, to release dozen of IBM Redbook publications related to POWER4, POWER5, POWER5+, POWER6 and POWER7 processor-based systems and technology, collaborating with international teams and developers. In addition to that, I have been a speaker in international technical conferences with IBMer and Clients (see also “Other relevant information” section).
