Computers
The office is fully computerized. Computers are used at every stage of a project. Initial concepts are visualized internally and externally in three dimensions and often animated as walk-throughs or fly-bys for Client and government authority presentation. Design ideas are tested and refined using specialist engineering software. Preliminary and final designs are undertaken using AutoCAD with special attention paid to the co-ordination between architecture and engineering. Computer work-stations are linked by a local area server to extensive printing and plotting equipment. An Inventory of Computer Facilities is given below.
Communications
Kompass has the benefit of a dedicated Internet connection. This enables the office to transmit and receive large project documents, including drawings, world-wide. The Internet also provides unlimited technical information for use in project design, detailing and specification.
