Individual Account Settings

•  Individual  account  management:

Configuring The Daily Weather Forecast

•  Configuring  The  Daily  Weather  Forecast   is  done  by  city/state  locaIon  with  

selectable  opIons:  

•  Local  AM  Ime  to  send  alert  locaIon  

•  Individual  day  of  the  week  

•  Receive  alerts  by  email  and/or  text  

message  

•  Email  format  opIon,  HTML  or  TEXT  

•  For  more  informaIon  about  each   selecIon  opIon  mouse  over  the  [?]   image  

•  Configured/acIve  alerts  are  listed  in   “AcIve  Daily  Weather  Forecast  Alerts”

Configuring Real-Time Weather Observation

Monitoring and Alert Notification Service

•  iAlert  monitors  over  2000  weather  staIons   across  the  U.S.  in  real-­‐Ime    

•  Select  to  receive  emails  and/or  text  

messages  when  desired  weather  criteria  is   met  at  select  locaIons  

Example  Uses:  

1.  Wind  speed  is  greater  than  equal  (>=)  25  MPH  

to  protect  a  job  site  

2.  Temperature  drops  below  freezing,  (<)  32  F  to  

protect  plants

Notification Service

•  During  severe  weather  events  local  emergency   managers,  police,  fire,  and  trained  weather   spoMers  submit  storm  reports  across  the  U.S.  

•  Reports  include:  

•  62  different  Severe  weather  and  emergency    

event  types  

•  Event  Ime  

•  LocaIon  (many  with  laItude  and  longitude)    

•  To  configure:  

•  Select  desired  event  type  

•  Select  locaIon:  All  United  States,  By  State,  By  

County,  By  City/state  

•  Select  alert  method,  by  email  or  text  message  

•  Select  the  submit  buMon

•  Submit  a  news  report  in  three  easy  steps:  

1.  Create  an  eye  catching  headline  and  provide  

detail  descripIon  of  event  

2.  Upload  any  pictures  or  video  of  the  event  

3.  Report  locaIon  by  zooming  in  on  the  provided  

map  as  far  as  possible  for  exact  pinpoint   locaIon  of  event  

4.  Select  Submit  Report  buMon
