Over 1,800 people from

across the Bradford District

told us what Living Well

looks like to them.

It turns out we want to: ·Exercise more

·Eat better

·Connect with others

·Do things that make us feel good ·Get outside and move our bodies

With 50.8% of respondents doing less than the recommended amount of exercise every

week; the 20 Minute Movement is designed to motivate, encourage and inspire fun ways to be active, live well and be happy!

We launch on

01 February.

This campaign pack outlines what is available to download and use to help encourage people in your organisation, community, family or network to join the 20 Minute Movement.

We have pre-written a blog post/news article that you can amend and tailor to your audience and add to your own website to help keep it

fresh with new content and encourage more people to Join the 20 Minute Movement.

help remind and encourage people to Join the 20 Minute Movement with Living Well! Download and add this image to your video

conferencing package to use next time you have a catch up with colleagues, friends or family.

We have a short PowerPoint presentation for anyone who wants to present the idea of the 20 Minute Movement to their organisation or group. It’s perfect for anyone wanting help

Download your personal badge to share across social media and act as a daily reminder, by

11. 20 DAYS ACTIVITY PLANNER

Kick start your 20 Minute Movement by

downloading the activity chart with lots of ideas of things to do for 20 days, along with a progress chart to keep you motivated.

Do it for yourself, and better please share with

friends, colleagues and family to encourage them to get started too!

1. Find/Do these 5 things on your walk: A train, a

white flower, identify a bird, bungalow, jump in a puddle.

2. Write a letter/card to let a friend or loved one know

you’re thinking of them and walk the long way to the post box.

3. 5 x a day run up and down your stairs.

4. Run round the house with little ones (or big ones) playing aeroplanes/ chase me.

5. Have a lunch time disco in the living room.

6. Dance while you cook the dinner.

7. Take the work call outside and walk and

talk in the garden.

8. Try Our Parks on You Tube. HIIT, Legs Bums and Tums, Stretch and Flex, Box Fit, Dance HIIT, Bootcamp, Yoga.

9. Sock tag. Tuck a sock in your waist band and don’t let anyone get it.

10. 10 Minute home cardio workout: 1 x minute warm

up, 2 x 15 rocket jumps (hands on thigh squat and jump up), Recover, walk/jog on spot for 30 seconds, 2 x 15 Star jumps, Recover, 2 x 15 squats, Recover, 2 x 15 burpees, Recover, 2 x 15 sit ups, Recover.

11. Download a Fitness App.

12. Find a road you haven’t walked down.

13. Every time you wash your hands do five star jumps.

14. Try You Tube’s POPSUGAR on You Tube Fitness – 500 work outs to choose from covering boxing, dance, HIIT and Pilates.

15. Each time you make a cuppa – jog on the spot while the kettle boils.

16. Vacuum and have a boogie at lunch time.

17. Lift dumb bells / tin of beans during creative/ thinking time.

18. Complete a You Tube Yoga tutorial.

19. Move at your desk; arm

wraps/shoulder rolls/head turns left and right/arm

swings or circles/torso twists/leg swings/leg lifts.

20. You wouldn’t forget an appointment in your calendar, so do the same with getting active. Schedule a walk.

We want the people of Bradford District

to be as healthy as possible for as long as

possible. Taking just 20 minutes a day to

be more active, can help your physical and

mental wellbeing enormously! Come on…
