Faculty of Painting

FULL-TIME STUDIES (5 years)

The Faculty of Painting tries to meet its own tradition as well as

to satisfy the contemporary needs, while educating the painters

and offering its students highly qualified teaching staff. Furthermore,

the Faculty is authorized to carry out the PhD and habilitation

program, and to confer the title of professor. The Faculty

consists of four chairs: Chair of Basic Education, Chair of Painting,

Chair of Drawing and Chair of Specializations. Among the main

specializations are mural painting, stained glass, art of fibre and

art in the public space. The didactical process is based on the

individual students’ work in a chosen studio. The studios have

their own, independent programme, based on teachers’ artistic

experience and taking into account the specific character of each

studio. The studios prepare exhibitions at the end of each semester

and academic year, presenting the effects of students work.
