ENERGY EFFICIENCY

The Galleon was designed to achieve energy efficiency of at least 15% better compared to standard buildings and provide 30% more ventilation than the international standards.

Building level energy submetering to provide detailed energy consumption and reduce system loss.

Aircon system will not use chloroflourocarbon (CFC)

based refrigerants thereby reducing impact on the ozone.

WATER EFFICIENCY

Installed high efficiency plumbing fixtures and fittings to lessen water consumption by approximately 20%. Building level water submetering to provide detailed water consumption and reduce system loss.

Sustainable wastewater management to be implemented.

SUSTAINABILITY

Rain water will be collected for landscape maintenance to reduce freshwater consumption.

Centralized facility for

recycling and proper segregation and disposal of waste.

All office units have double-glazed windows to maximize daylight penetration but filter out unwanted ultraviolet rays while minimizing heat gain and reducing air conditioning energy consumption.

MATERIALS

Construction and demolition waste management plan is implemented by the Contractor for efficient waste disposal diverting significant amount of construction waste from being disposed in landfills.

Construction materials will use significant amount of recycled materials, regionally extracted, and manufactured locally to reduce fuel consumption during transportation. The Galleon will use native and adaptive plants to minimize the amount of irrigation and reduce use of fertilizers and pesticides.
