Profile
Dave Gornall
After successfully completing a BTEC National Diploma in Engineering at Runshaw Sixth Form College, Dave continued his studies at Runshaw by enrolling on the Foundation Degree in Computer Aided Engineering. He graduated with a Distinction and topped up his qualification to a full BEng (Hons) in Computer Aided Engineering at UCLan. Dave is now working as a CMM Technician, subcontracted to an Aerospace company.
“I decided to stay at Runshaw to study the Foundation Degree as I knew the tutors and had really enjoyed my previous course. I was also unsure about moving away and wanted to keep the same lifestyle, a job I enjoyed and also have the opportunity to live in UCLan’s student accommodation. I really benefited from the small class sizes at Runshaw, and the one-to-one tutor support. The resources were also excellent, as were the additional activities available, such as the group team building trip.”
