announce a new innovative catalogue of ICT services designed
specifically for schools; offering schools a new way to buy ICT:
all the services are cloud-based and can flex to meet individual
school requirements.
We’ve designed bundles to maximise the impact on learner achievement; you can choose from five bundles, and add a wide range of optional extras to create the right mix to suit your school:
Cloud Enabled
Make the leap into cloud learning, connected directly to your school Management Information System to save you administration time and effort, with a choice of Google Apps for Education or Microsoft Office 365 and single-sign-on to a wide range of content and tools including Edmodo.
Cloud Empowered
By adding a web desktop to ‘Cloud Enabled’, learners and teachers are presented with a consistent interface helping you to support Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) and make anytime, anywhere, any device learning a reality.

A truly bespoke solution to meet the needs of your school supported by a single integrated managed service, transforming ICT in your school to full cloud delivery.

What is included in the package?
Identity Management service
The Identity Management service creates user accounts and automatically logs users on to applications or services, meaning the user only has to log on once.
Identity-as-a-Service (IDaaS)
IDaaS dynamically integrates with the MIS to provide an easy-to-administer solution for learners, school workforce, governors and parents to access the systems they need to. It comes integrated with Google Apps for Education and
Microsoft Office 365 which means all learners and teachers in the MIS system will automatically be provisioned with a Google or Office 365 account. All the setup and project management costs are included in the service charge.
Edmodo will be introduced to schools providing a safe and secure way for learners and teachers to connect and collaborate in an exciting social learning environment. The Edmodo App Store will also provide schools with a broad range of excellent education applications and content.

Web Desktop
Organise your email, calendar, documents and web apps through a single interface. The Web Desktop is available through any modern browser and works on any device including BYOD tablets and smartphones. The service is linked to identity so once users log onto the web desktop they don’t need to authenticate again to access the majority of web-based services.

“Who, What, When, Where” Policies
Smoothwall’s policy engine provides flexibility. You can build policies based on user groups and content, timeframe, and even location. Smoothwall is an IWF funded council member and the CAIC list is integrated within the solution and cannot be disabled through policy which means no one gets access to known vile or malicious content.
Age Differentiated Filtering
The Smoothwall service is integrated with the Identity Management service. We will work with the user group membership to determine what policies to apply. These groups will include learners, teachers, year of entry, and class groups.
Real-Time Content Filtering
When the content of a page can change from second to second, URL blocklists can’t keep up. The Smoothwall web filter analyses the content and context of new material in real time to prevent anything slipping through.
Central Management Smoothwall is administered through a web based interface, providing policy wizards to ease administration. BYOD Support Means that any device connected to your Wi-Fi is filtered and protected, including: iOS, Android, Blackberry, and Windows without any user configuration and burden. Block P2P
Filesharing
Peer-to-peer file sharing can monopolise your available bandwidth as well as being used to illegally transfer copyrighted material. Smoothwall allows you to control the use of these applications.
Time Quotas Allow you to be flexible about the web filtering policies applied to your users. This allows you to assign different policies for specific amounts of time, such as a more relaxed policy during lunch breaks.

Get complete visibility over web activity on your network, and schedule automatic reports to stakeholders. Smoothwall offers a live view of users’ network activity. There are many customisable report templates.
Bandwidth
