PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Smallest dimmable Class II hardwire LED dimming magnetic power supply on the market that works with conventional low voltage magnetic wall mount dimmer with on/off switch. Features include high efficiency, excellent load regulation and no wattage de-rating under 100% load. There is no minimum load requirements for this transformer/driver.
PRODUCT SPECIFICATIONS
Construction: Transformer is encapsulated in all metal
construction enclosure. Enclosure temperature should not exceed 70°C (158°F) @ 40°C (104°F) ambient. Wiring compartment has 2 knockouts sized for 3/4” screw cable conductors. Removable cover for wiring compartment is se-cured in place by clips and one screw. Black powder coated.
Electrical: Input and output terminals are terminal block.
Input leads are 20 AWG. Output leads are 16 AWG. Lead insulation rated to 105°C (221°F). Transformer utilizes a class B 130°C (266°F) insulation system. Maximum load is 30W. Coil former is double section bobbin. Auto reset.
Dimming: Works with low-voltage magnetic wall dimmer
with on/off switch.
Mounting: Surface mount with front mounting tab. Warranty: 4 years.

General
This transformer is to be installed in accordance with Article 450 of the
National Electric code. The transformer must be installed in a well-ventilated
area free from explosive gases and vapors. Proper operation requires the
free flow of air. Only a qualified electrician should install this hardwired
transformer.
Precautions Before Installing
Check the label and ensure the transformer has the proper input voltage,
output voltage and wattage for the job. Check the wire markings to ensure
they match the wiring diagram on this instruction sheet.
Mounting
Select a suitable location capable of supporting the weight of the transformer.
Use the two keyholes provided on the mounting flange.
Input Connections/Grounding
Remove the wiring compartment knockouts and install strain reliefs. With
power turned off, route the input wires through a strain relief and connect one
wire to black and one wire to white. For all wire connections use only UL
listed wire nuts and connectors of suitable size and type. The transformer
case MUST be grounded in accordance with the N.E.C. Connect the green
wire transformer to ground.
Output Connections
Bring the 12 volt DC lamp wires through the open knockout and connect the
positive (+) side to the red transformer wires, and negative (-) side to the blue
transformer wires. Connect the 12V DC wire to the red and blue wires.
Connect the red wire to the positive (+) side and the negative (-) wire to the
blue side.
Boost Tap
This transformer is equipped with an optional 10% boost tap which can
compensate for voltage drop between the transformer and the lighting fixture.
If the fixtures are receiving 10.5 Volts or less, we recommend you connect
the boost tap. To use the boost tap, the input wires are connected to the
orange and white wire instead of the black and white wire. Make certain the
black wire is capped with a wire nut if you use the boost tap. Make certain
the orange wire is capped with a wire nut if you do not use the boost tap.
