Type No: MedArt® 610

Laser type: Continuous wave or pulsed CO2 laser ∙ Laser Class 4 (IEC 825)

Max output power: 20 W Wavelength: 10,600 nm

Target indicator: Red indicator light through fibre (635 nm) Fibre connection: MedArt® Quick Safe Connect

Spot size in focus mode:

0.3 mm Pulsed emission:

- frequency range:

- pulse width: Min. 0.3 Hz/Max 100 Hz10 - 1000 millisec.

Power supply: Mains connection (100-240V or 50/60 Hz) Size: 67.0 x 28.0 x 44.0 cm

Weight: Approx. 16 kg with base Safety class: I type BF

A CO2 laser is - even after many years on the market - still an outstanding tool to address a whole range of treatments which makes it an important asset for the clinic: • Skin resurfacing • Warts • Condylomas • Fibromas • Xanthelasma • Actinic keratosis … and many more.

Skin resurfacing

Skin resurfacing with a MedArt® 610 laser is still one of

the most efficient tools to take years off the looks. The skin resurfacing procedure evens out deep wrinkles, acne scars, smokers’ lines and photodamaged skin. The skin resurfacing procedure can be done as either full face or in partial areas such as the perioral, perior-bital or glabella areas.

Benign skin lesions

As an alternative to surgical removal the MedArt®

610 is an excellent tool to remove a variety of smaller lesions. The CO2 laser energy coagulates the tissue at the same time as the lesion is removed. The lack of bleeding highly reduces the infection risk.

Flexible fibre

As one of the very few CO2 lasers in the world the Med-Art® 610 laser comes with a fully flexible fibre delivery

system. This type of energy delivery system gives the operator 100% flexibility of movement during treat-ment and easy access to even small cavities. The fibre system makes it possible to work in focused mode for cutting and evaporation but also in defocused mode for coagulation. The defocused mode makes it possible to slowly heat a lesion for later exfoliation of the scab. This treatment method leaves the lesion as a protective crust while new epithelium is forming underneath. The flexible fibre delivery system is easily inserted into the MedArt® 457 scanner, so within seconds you are

ready to treat fast and evenly over large areas.

Handpieces with mirrors:

These handpieces allow access to even small, intricately located

cavi-ties. With mirrors angled at 45, 90 or 120 degrees you can direct your laser beam anywhere.

Other applications

Oral surgery

CO2 laser treatments form an important part of oral, mucogingival and parodontal surgery within the dental and maxillofacial fields. The ability of the laser to cut and coagulate at the same time makes it an indispensable tool for securing optimum treatment results, even in infected tissue. The laser beam is delivered through specially mirrored handpieces securing access at all angles.

Some of the lesions that can be treated

• Gingivoplasty

• Bone cavity sterilization • Leukoplakia

• Excision of scars, warts and benign tumours • Lichen planus, mucositis

… and many more

And more...

Please contact your local dealer or MedArt A/S for more information about the optimal laser solution.

3-dimensional scanner

The MedArt® 457 scanner has been specifically developed for

CO2 treatments and is the preferred treatment tool for skin resur-facing as well as other treatments where fast and uniform treat-ment results are imperative.

The scanner works in three dimensions:

Size and shape of the treatment area is selected on the scanner. The speed of each of the scanning pass allows for full control of treatment depth ensuring excellent treatment results with very even distribution of energy over the treatment area. Addition-ally, this feature makes it possible to make smooth transitions from treated to untreated skin in order to create a truly natural look.

Low maintenance - less space

The MedArt® 610 laser requires no regular service calls. The flexible

fibre requires no regular alignments/adjustments as is the case with other beam delivery systems. The laser easily fits into the treatment room, it is small and compact and can be supplied in horizontal or vertical model.

MedArt® 610 - vertical

The slim, elegant shape of the vertical position allows the laser to fit anywhere. The display allows for easy reading of treatment parameters.

Fibre systems for 10.6 µm

Specifications are subject to change without notice. Coagulation Crust Exfoliation of crust.

Newly formed epithelium underneath. Defocus mode

Irradiation in defocused mode is used for achieving coagulation of the tissue - and not evaporation. By heating a larger area with lower power density the lesion coagulates. The tissue surface is left unbroken while new epithelium is forming underneath until the lesion exfoliates.
