Parish Scouts Looking for Adult Leadership!
The mission of Scouts BSA is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law...values that include duty and reverence to God. St. Joseph Marello Parish Troop 115 is an active youth ministry looking to expand the adult leadership team.
Are you a former Scout, a pack or troop leader, or parent interested in supporting an annual program of skills and leadership development, outdoor activities, service projects, and challenging high adventures for youth ages 11 to 17? Visit sjm-troop115.org for more information or call Scoutmaster Jon Kantola at 916-755-1339.
Save the Date!
The St. Vincent de Paul Society of Roseville is planning a virtual fundraising event on October 21st from 5:30-7pm to support our core mission of preventing hunger and homelessness in our community. If you or a family member or a friend had lost your job during the COVID-19 pandemic, where would you go for groceries or a meal? You would come to Saint Vincent de Paul! And if you were among those who were able to continue their employment, then we could really use your help to continue our life changing programs.
Join us, as Kellie DeMarco and Freddie Silveria co-host our event that will include a wine tasting presentation by the Mount Saint Joseph Winery at 5:30pm. This virtual event will be an opportunity for individuals, families, and businesses to help support the vital work of St. Vincent de Paul through a LIVE fund-a-need appeal.

Together, we can make a difference!

October: Month of the Holy Rosary
The Church dedicates the entire month of October to the Holy Rosary so that individuals, families, and communities would pray the Holy Rosary, if possible, daily, for peace in the world.
Rosaries and instructions for how to say the rosary are on the WELCOME TABLE in the vestibule. Help Yourself and pray, pray, pray.
Pray the Holy Rosary with devotion.
Pray the rosary during the day—try not to postpone it until the end of the day or bedtime. If you leave the Rosary for later, and you may end up not saying it at all because you are sleepy—If there is no other time, say it in your car or on a walk.

Hope, Heal, Renew
The Diocese of Sacramento is joining nine other dioceses and archdioceses in California, Hawaii, and Nevada for an online catechetical conference Nov. 4-6. The theme of the conference is “Hope, Heal, Renew: Our Journey Continues.” As Christians, we are on a pilgrimage — accompanied by Christ on a sacred journey of discipleship. The road has not always been easy, especially in recent months. But our purpose is clear:
to be messengers of hope, healing and renewal to all we encounter along the way.
We invite catechists and others to join the conference’s uplifting prayer services and liturgies, live interactions with presenters, learning sessions in multiple languages, real-time “coffee talk” conversations with colleagues in ministry, and more.
Visit https://www.hopehealrenew.org/ for more information or contact Deacon Kevin Staszkow at 916- 733-0177 or kstaszkow@

YOU. Life, Love, and the Theology of the Body
Join us on the 3rd Thursday of the month beginning on 10/21/21 In an age of “selfies” and egocentrism, YOU cuts through the noise to present an authentic view of the human person. It presents young people with the extraordinary story of their creation as unrepeatable individuals. But the program doesn’t stop there.
YOU. Life, Love, and the Theology of the Body introduces teens to the truth that life is not, in fact, all about them; it is about going out of themselves to be a sincere gift for others.
Work through this beautiful program with your teen(s) in the comfort of your home and then join us for our parent support meetings on the 3rd Thursday of the month. Talk through each chapter sharing the joys and struggles of learning how to talk with your teens about these topics.
Email Andreya Arevalo at [email protected] to receive the Zoom link for the meetings. For more information, contact Andreya Arevalo at 916-733-0156 or [email protected]
