If you are a caring person who wants to help others, social work may be the profession for you. As a clinical social worker, you will be prepared to counsel teenagers, help troubled children and families, work with people dependent on alcohol or drugs, assist the elderly, and improve the quality of life for the physi-cally or mentally ill, among many other satisfying jobs.
Our students learn how to help people by using a variety of intervention methods, advocating on behalf of their clients, and working towards construc-tive change. Whichever option you choose, you will be prepared to use the knowledge, skills, and values necessary for professional social work practice with individuals, families, and groups.
