Walls

The external walls are manufactured ‘off line’ and are of composite panel construction. This method of fabrication forms a sandwich in which all the

components are bonded in a press. This type of construction ensures quality throughout and produces a wall panel with excellent impact resistance. The walls can be clad in a variety of finishes or can be used to form an inner skin to a

traditional brickwork finish.

Roof

Roof options are either a cost effective warm deck finished in profiled steel, or traditional truss construction for tiles.

In both cases the building is delivered to site in a weatherproof condition to enable finishing trades

on site to complete their work without

the usual delays.

Floors

Floors are laid on galvanised steel floor joists and incorporate rigid insulation giving the required level of thermal protection.

Ceilings

Standard ceilings are 2.4m high finished in white vinyl faced plasterboard. Suspended ceilings with recessed lighting are available with 2.7m high ceiling option for larger areas.

Doors

Standard doors fitted are of aluminium for external use and self finished for internal use.

Internal Partitions

The internal walls are also

manufactured ‘off-line’ which helps achieve a shorter build time. The panels consist of self finished

plasterboard bonded onto timber frames. Sound

deadening infills and linings are

incorporated as required.

Windows

Powder coated, aluminium construction, double glazed with low E float glass to inner pane. UPVC also available.

Heating

Wet central heating by wall mounted radiators or ceiling panels. Also available, air conditioning and comfort cooling systems.

Electrical installations

Electrical installations are where possible fitted in the factory prior to delivery using standard fittings and wired in accordance with current I.E.E. Regulations.

Plumbing Installations

All plumbing within building sections is installed prior to delivery using white vitreous china sanitary-ware which complies with current regulations.

Specification & Comparison

The galvanised steel frame, Rapidplan™ 3000 system, is suitable for semi permanent and permanent buildings from single to 3 storeys high.

The structure of the system is all steel with timber in the walls and partitioning. A variety of external finishes are offered.

The system is based on modules 3.00m and 4.00m wide and in unit lengths from 6.00m to 12.00m. The steel frame modules are linked side-to-side, and/or end-to-end to form the building.

Two and three storey buildings are created by stacking the modules which incorporate their own steel frame without the need for any additional structural supports.

Using the Rapidplan™ 3000 steel frame system, reduces building programme times thus cutting the cost of building.

With Wernick Buildings there are no compromises on quality or comfort. Ask the already established list of clients from schools, local authorities, business the defence industry and many NHS Trusts.

The buildings include such items as passenger lifts, climate control, high levels of insulation and double glazed windows. We can also provide full IT installations, medical gases etc. to meet specific client requirements.

The flexibility of steel frame modular construction is often under estimated by designers. The modular Rapidplan™ 3000 system can be used to form buildings of any size, and can be added to at a later date, reduced in size, or even relocated.*

Wernick Buildings use maintenance free or low maintenance materials throughout their buildings to help keep running costs as low as possible.

It is also worth noting that most of the materials are recyclable should you ever wish to demolish the building!
